The Plot

This RP starts in Harry's sixth year, after a discovery of a prophecy in the Ministry of Magic storerooms by Voldemort and his Death Eaters. This prophecy tells of a weapon to end all wars, which can be gained, for good or for evil, by the power of The Five.

By the use of his intelligence in different countries, Voldemort has managed to discover these 'Five' allude to five elementals, students at Hogwarts, who, when combined in power and intent, can create or destroy such a weapon. At the beginning of this RP, the Dark Lord has already managed to lay his hands on two of the five; earth and water.

Albus Dumbledore, headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry knows of this plot, and has his eye on the possible candidates for the fire and air, although they have not yet shown signs, and have no knowledge themselves of what lays in store. He does not know which the other two, brainwashed by Voldemort, are, until they choose to reveal themselves; Voldemort has cast a Fideleus Charm on this, and not even the most powerful wizard for a very long time can see past this. And, as for the fifth element, he has no idea.

However, there is a shard of hope. Voldemort does not know the identity of the fifth element either, or the other two. If Dumbledore can find and train the elements, there may be a hope for the Muggle and wizarding world.

THIS IS NOW AN ALTERNATE UNIVERSE RP, DUE TO THE RELEASE OF HBP. SOME ELEMENTS OF THIS BOOK HAVE BEEN TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT HOWEVER.

Player rules

- This is a NC-17 RP, although any smut to this extent must be F-locked.

- We accept M/M and F/F relationships and smut. Anyone who does not accept this should not join this RP.

- We use MSN, AIM and email mainly for discussing plots, etc, so please have MSN and/or AIM before applying, as it will mean you can communicate between players efficiently. Emails will be used for large plot details.

- Private commenting is allowed within entries, as is private journal posts within normal ones, so long as it is clear which part is private. Otherwise, when posting completely private entries, please disable the commenting option.

- Act in character whenever you are making entries, commenting or RPing.

- OOC comments may only be posted in

fifth_ooc. Anywhere else is not acceptable.

- *goes in and sits down* style typing when used in journal comments, owls or journal entries is allowed, however roleplays MUST be posted in past tense and 3rd person, without any of the above style, for example, “Ginny walked into the common room and sat down.”.

- Please do not God mod without permission from the other character. Some people find this very offensive, although most of us have no problem with a little God modding. Also, we ask that any ‘babysitting’ of characters (whilst someone is away) should be run through us first.

- Please update at least once a week.

- Correct spelling & good grammar must be used, unless it is in character, and your character can’t spell properly (e.g. Crabbe and Goyle.) - otherwise, we suggest you use the spellchecker facility, and a dictionary.

- If you create a role-play in fifth_hogwarts, make sure you clarify in the subject line whether it is 'open' or 'closed' and if you do rp smut of any kind then please either edit the rp and make it viewable to friends only.

- Smut does not need a reason to happen, but excessive use of smut (twice every week or more) should not happen, as it disrupts the plot. (And we don’t want everyone at Hogwarts acting like bunnies 24/7, do we? ;) )

- Failure to comply with these rules may result in you being asked to leave the community. However, you will get a warning beforehand. If you persist with this, then you will be banned.

- Otherwise, HAVE FUN! We are not out to try and make our community the best in the world. We want it to be friendly, and open to anyone who feels they want to join.
