I would advise that you all stay calm. Your friends and collegues will be found as soon as possible; the Ministry of Magic has top Aurors working on it, and I myself am aiding investigations. Please stay calm as possible. Myself and your heads of houses ask that you remain within the school; walking on the grounds without a teacher is strictly forbidden until it is positive that the Forbidden Forest and surrounding countryside is secure.
Students will note that no alcohol will be permitted on the premises. The same goes for smoking. Please also note that sharp pointed objects used as part of a costume is not allowed, but teachers are perfectly happy to transfigure another object into a safer version of the object for you.
As rumours have suggested, a Summer Ball will be held this year. This will require all those attending (as before, fourth years and upwards, unless your partner is in this category) to be sporting masks and costumes.
I myself shall be sporting a rather interesting Muggle baseball outfit. I believe it is called a backstop, or something similiar.
This is to be held on the 22nd June, and refreshments shall be provided there, as it will replace dinner time.
