It's been pretty quiet around here lately. I haven't quite been keeping up with D-topia, but some recent things:

1) Saori's final live is rumored to be her one-man performance on April 1st. The speculation I've heard is that she has no plans to give a real announcement about it, so fans are pretty much saying their goodbyes already. Nonetheless, there's still a month until then, so I guess all we can do is wait.

2) We're going on a year and a half since Aira's last proper album, so I decided to have a look at her blog to see what she's been up to. She's apparently quite sick right now with some kind of bronchitis? She also seemed very depressed in mid-February, so let's hope she feels better soon all around.

Anyway, spring is coming up and I'm totally smitten with this song all over again, so I translated the lyrics to Aira's "Spring Sky"! These were done by ear as I don't think official lyrics ever came out, which means they might not be 100% accurate. two years in a row now I've meant to post "Valentine STEP" in February lol

Does anyone still have a copy of this song? The old upload that was here in 2009 is dead now and all I've managed to find is a pretty disappointing 128kbps rip. :( It's always been in my top five Aira tracks.

Finally finished these! Aira and Saori's combined lyrical thought processes are pretty interesting to witness... and I love the lyrics themselves, so many references to past D-topia releases.

Also, I color-coded the romanized lyrics because I've noticed some people had trouble differentiating their voices. Same as the interview post (only with better colors now!): Saori in blue and Aira in red, shared lines left in black.

They've been up elsewhere for a little while now, but I finished a couple of lyrics recently and it's about time I shared them here, especially since one is "Funny Parade"! I dug it out of some old files and finally got the guts to finish it. \o/

And prismboy asked for "L0ne1yBoy L0ne1yGirl" on Twitter, so I did it, though he's seen it by now (sorry!).

Well, not really everything: 321, Human Future, Rainbow, Parameter, ???, fly and smile. I'm really not sure why I did so many of these, since I noticed I felt a little rusty with Aira's lyrics as I was working on them, but I suppose this album does captivate me~

I think normally I try to modify the Engrish-y bits of D-topia lyrics when I translate them, but wow, Aira, I... seriously don't even know where to begin with you.

Because I am a procrastinator, I've gone and looked at BAD Trip feat. Terukado from Aira Mitsuki's PLASTIC album and attempted to translate it again. I looked at my first translation and I got completely different lyrics out of them when I retranslated them. This is because I find the lyrics from PLASTIC to be quite cryptic and full of English that don't quite fit but eh. That's Aira for you.

Okay so, these are the lyrics from KOR=GIRL's first album. They're all in English and typed word for word from Kashi Get.

... most hilarious song has to be TENJIN by far soley on it's lyrical content. Enjoy.

But other than that - suicide, depression, broken hearts yes, I think D-topia has a thing for these kinds of girls.

The last of the new Terukado songs. \o/

Ugh, "lie days" got so repetitive in so many ways. I didn't know what to do besides bust open a thesaurus and start saying things like ~untruth, which would've made it hilarious and therefore worse, so I just left it alone even though I don't like it...

Also, I think I called "display toy" cute somewhere once, but it's toeing the line between tsundere and psychotic a little bit. Aira's abusive household from "Fantasy Candy" is having an effect on her relationships. :'(
