I remember why I never touched the PLASTIC lyrics, barely any of them make sense.
Because I am a procrastinator, I've gone and looked at BAD Trip feat. Terukado from Aira Mitsuki's PLASTIC album and attempted to translate it again. I looked at my first translation and I got completely different lyrics out of them when I retranslated them. This is because I find the lyrics from PLASTIC to be quite cryptic and full of English that don't quite fit but eh. That's Aira for you.

* Interestingly, she writes "bokura" differently - the first time it's written as 僕ら which is the more standard form and 僕等 which is a more archaic form.
** I think Aira's talking about frequency ranges. While this line is open to interpretation, the best way to think about is that a sound can't be heard if it's too high or too low so the result is that there's an ideal frequency for sound to be (the midrange). So basically it's a roundabout sound metaphor "we're not moving forward at all, we're barely registering"
*** While I've chosen to string these into a sentence, because of the way they're spaced it can be read alternatively as "Painful. Anticipation. Wanting to do. Not there. Midnight."
