    Livewire is a super-villain with electricity powers, and an enemy of Superman and Supergirl. Originally a "shock jock" radio personality known as Leslie Willis, she gained widespread popularity (and scorn) for her tirades against the Man of Steel. She later turned to crime after losing her job at the station and becoming a metahuman, all of which she blames Superman for causing. She has been a member of the Superman Revenge Squad, the Secret Society of Super-Villains, and the Supermen of America.

    Livewire was created by Evan Dorkin and Sarah Dyer for the DCAU, first appearing in Superman: The Animated Series episode Livewire. (1997) Her first DC Universe appearance was in Gail Simone and John Byrne's Action Comics #835 (2006).
