i was going through my tags list, when i came upon my art school sitcom pitch. there's two things about this, really: 1. hot damn, i used to be entertaining. 2. i found myself wishing it was something i could legitimately pitch all over again. it would be so adorable, flist. SO ADORABLE.

i really am a one-rp-at-a-time kind of person. i put so much energy into my very favorite that everything else gets pushed to the backburner. this is barely an actual problem, really, but it makes me feel better about dropping a few rp's lately because i really am happy with my current rp situation ♥

IS ANYONE ELSE EXCITED ABOUT COMMUNITY AND PARKS AND REC COMING BACK TONIGHT? it's not just me, is it? is... it?

yes, yes, i just participated in a friending meme, but i do enjoy getting recs from my flist as well. community recs would be great, too! anything, really. XD

i haven't talked about my ~arashi thoughts~ lately, have i? but i was thinking about something today while re-watching the ans clip of jun doing the 5x5-meter calligraphy exhibition - are they pushing for jun to have a character change? he's been getting a lot of art and calligraphy projects lately, which is completely a plus for me, but it's a little out-of-character for jun, isn't it? or at least the jun that fandom's supposed to see etc etc.

it's fantastic, i think. i'd love to see more of jun's ~adult side~ instead of the constant reminder that he played domyouji half a decade ago. and i'm always for seeing less of the ~fashionable diva~ persona that he had going for so long, too. leave the hair short, bb. keep the more masculine body type. act in more stageplays. you're growing up - finally - and i'm so incredibly happy to see it.

maybe i'm putting too much thought into this, but it seems to be a pattern lately. i just hope johnny likes what he's seeing.

honesty meme

i like doing this sort of thing, even if what you want to say has to be said anonymously. it's good to know the image i'm presenting to the world, right?

1. Comment to this post with "I surrender!" "please, may I have one?" or something like that and I'll assign you the basis of some tv show idea. (Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...)

2. Create a cast of characters, including the actors who'd play them

3. Add in any actor photos, character bios and show synopsis that you want.

4. Post to your own journal.

astrangerenters gave me "a sitcom set in an art school". for the record, i did not go to art school. i took a lot of art classes for my degree, but that's not really the same thing at all. so i apologize to those of you who did go to art school. i'm going off of stories my "proper artist" friends have told me. i will try not to rely on daniel clowes too much.

i was going to rec CAT TOWN, but it's apparently down at the moment. SUPER SPECIAL NOTE FOR PEOPLE IN THE FUTURE: click that link! you won't regret it! for everyone else, i'm reccing the website of an artist whose work i would never have the patience to reproduce: peter callesen. he makes these amazing paper cutout designs that really defy description. the only thing you need to realize to be BLOWN AWAY is that each creation is ONE SHEET OF PAPER. no pieces, just a lot of folding and gluing. it's breathtaking.

not much to report today. my art club kids are awesome, i wrote two kids up for starting a crayon fight, and i once again co-disciplined a particularly unruly sixth grade class. standard fare.

the big news of the day for me is that nino and ken'ichi are going to be in a movie together! all of my comparison posts are catching up to real life! first jun and hiro, then nino and ken'ichi. WHO ON MY FRIENDSLIST IS ACTUALLY JOHNNY TROLLING FOR IDEAS. REVEAL YOURSELF.
