September Stampede - Day Twelve!

bitesizedcleaningA fairly easy one today because it's time to tackle the bag/case that you take with you most often when you go out. We've all got those 'emergency items' that we take with us when we have to go out, now's the chance to go through your bag/purse/wallet/briefcase/backpack and evaluate whether you're carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders unnecessarily.
If you are like me, things creep in there 'just in case' and I end up carrying way more than I need to. My wallet ends up with almost as many receipts as I have cash and this time last year in between the spare tissues and sun lotion that were in my bag, I found a pair of winter gloves! There's being prepared and then there's carrying things just because I never took them out when they weren't needed anymore!
Ten minutes will probably be more than ample time for this task, so you might have a minute or two left (or the full ten if you're more organised about what you leave the house with). Your choice whether to savour those minutes and celebrate your successes or to use them up making a bit more progress on another task.

Date: 2022-09-12 06:05 pm (UTC)Yesterday's food challenge turned into chopping up lots of onions and putting them in the freezer so they don't clutter up my fridge, and now I've also gone through my bag and made sure there are only necessary things in it. I added a small plastic bag for trash as well, in the hopes that future items of trash will accumulate there instead of just floating around at the bottom of the big bag.

Someone gave me some multicolored, remote control mood lighting for my birthday, but it takes a lot of batteries, so I hadn't messed with it. I spend 10 minutes setting them up and thus getting rid of the bulky packaging. Still not done, but it's a start.
