Hello and welcome to every one who has come (back) to Dreamwidth!
I am so happy to see a renaissance here! Do drop me a note if you want to know anything or have a topic for me to write about!

Sadly I haven't done much to contribute, it's only taken me *looks at watch* Over a month to write post something in THIS YEAR again.
BUT the icon meme going around was an interesting one, so I decided to take part in that one!

Luluxa does the best Clarkson/Hammond/May fanart. Period. (Yes, there are other artists out there and they do good stuff but she's my favourite. Mostly because her art shines. Go check out her deviantart gallery. There's also more/slashier stuff on tumblr and I think she goes by luluxa there as well but I don't like tumblr anymore, not the least because it's impossible to find stuff (again), so no linkage, sorry. 
Anyway this icon obviously get's deployed when this fandom comes up as it's wonderfully usable both in a friendshippy and slashy context.

PARKER! Oh, how I adore Parker. This is Leverage, the tv show about 5 thieves from a few years back. It never got me properly fannishly involved since there was never a "proper" OTP in it for me. But I did read lots of fanfic and my (and many people more) OTP in this fandom is an OT3 (Parker/Elliot/Hardison). 
I love all the characters, this was a fabuluous ensemble show with some of the best chemistry. 
on top of that you get a "mini"-heist movie basically every week and this makes for wonderful comfort viewing. The later seasons touched on deeper topics and there was the problem with one of the actresses getting pregnant (NOT a problem per se but instead of just writing her out they replaced her and that just didn't work, sigh.) Anyway, S1 is lovely to watch as are some of the later seasons despite the writers running out of ideas. 
Yes, I love all the characters but Parker, Parker is very special. She actually (imho) has the most character development during the seasons going from this socially awkward but very capable cat burglar to a self-assured team leader. With the help and love of her friends. 
At the same time PArker might be the most ruthless of the Quintett. So, yeah, very interesting character and I want to adopt her at the same time. 
Get's deployed basically sadly never, which is why I choose this one for this post.

Sherlock and John! Well, you recognized them. In retrospect I probably wouldn't choose this one anymore because it's out of focus too much. BUt I remember back then I wanted an icon where both of their heads were in it (and only their heads) and that was a bit meaningful and Sherlock looking like that at John certainly fits the bill :)
And once I have an icon I cannot get rid of it :)

It's the only icon I ever made myself but it was too good not to use it.

For those not fluent in German, it says "Cock, cock, cock, cock, cock, cock,Starbucks, cock, cock, cock, cock" (Yes, it's the same word as for tail but "cock" was definitely meant here)

Well, this is the story: 
10ish(?) years ago there was a weekend fannish meetup of German fangirls from the old Querstrich Mailing List - and associates as I was never actually on that list. 
I remember trobadora , minavox , bing and frogspace  being in attendance. (If I'm wrong please correct me and I'm sure I'm forgetting people. xkatjafx was surely there as well...and more.)
Anyway, we had a lovely discussion about why we write our porn in English (vs in German) and one argument was (and I still stand by it) that the German words for  eg cock sound icky and we're more disassociated from the English ones, so can write the heavier porn more easily.   frogspace put forth the case that we were just not used them because we read too much porn in English and we'd just needed to get used to the German words. 
so the next day after breakfast I sat myself down and wrote a whole sheet full of "cocks" (rainbow colours because why not?!)
This was a very meditative task so I only realised I'd written "Starbucks" after the fact. I did write Starbucks because there was a discussion going on about that at the next table ( I don't remember what it was actually about) and someone said "Starbucks" so my brain decided to use it. I do remember that it was about the coffee chain and not Battlestar Galactica :)

Hello my dears!

I recently saw with horror that next year (2019) is not only the 20th anniversary of my A-Levels but I will also be celebrating

20 years in Fandom!

(Yes, we all know we were fannish before we knew what it was and so on and so forth).

This was the year I read my first Highlander fic online (Duncan/Methos Slash, "Bonded" by Robin Serrano) and have never ever looked back.

I want to celebrate with you!

And here I wanted to add one of those nifty polls but I can't get it to work, sorry!

Ideas I had so far:

- RL party in some form (real party, "fannish" party, i.e. movie watching etc., tea party,...)

This is my first time participating in this particular exchange, so I hope I'm doing things right!

As in Yuletide I guess that Optional details are Optionals so if you can, please keep to my requests but I know that the muses sometimes misbehave so don't worry too much about it!

I have no idea how to make a letter like this for artists, sorry. I hope you can "translate" it because ART would be amazing!

Specific requests:
Luke & Vader

If you've offered to write this, I'm sure you've read the recent offerings of amazing fics in this fandom for this.
I heart them all and I just want more. In any way shape or form. Any time period, any plot, any trope - go wild. 
As long as Luke & Vader have meaningful interaction in some way I'm in for this. If you can break my heart  in the process, make me laugh or cry and shake my head about Skywalker Drama TM you'll get extra special bonus points. 
Please look at my fic likes/dislikes to get an idea but you can go as dark as you want to, should you wish to go down that road.

If you do need an idea: R2-D2 still has (as far as I know) holos of Padme/hers and Anakin's wedding... 
Or - for once - Admiral Piett captures the infamous and dangerous Rebel Pilot! But why is Lord Vader so unhappy about that?

Luke/Vader

Anything at all really. PLEASE! Since there are like 10 fics or so in total (that I could find) as long as I get Luke/Vader fic I'm happy! 
You may go as dark as you want - or not. I know requests like these aren't really helpful but I'm always thinking writers for Luke/Vader must be in the same boat as I, so go for that fic you always wanted to write but never dared. I promise I will like it. 

Han/Luke/Leia or Han & Luke & Leia

I need FIXITs! So much FIXITs. Go as Au as you want, Legends or New Canon I don't care, as long as Han, Luke and Leia get A HAPPY ENDING! Because I can't stand the thought of them having been apart for how many years and never having another adventure together. Never even being in the same spot together again before the end(s).
That said, I wouldn't mind a true ending fic/Death fic/fade-to-black as long AS THEY ARE TOGETHER! One last hurrah, one last adventure but TOGETHER. 
(Sorry, I'm obviously very emotional about this. You get my drift.)
You can both go the romantic or gen friendship route. I'll also take Han/Leia & Luke, as long as I get the Trio.

If you want to go OT or after OT era, I'm open for any and all kind of adventures/misshaps/family moments/team moments or "just" sexy times! Preferably Han/Luke/Leia but Han & Luke & Leia is awesome, too!

Darth Vader/Han

This was something I didn't know I needed until someone posted AU art of the interrogation scene in ESB. 
Go as dark as you want (torture, non-con, dubious con all fine!).
Or the I say I hate him but I want him route is also fine!
Or anything you want really! It seems my lot in life is to suffer from rare!pairs-itis in Star Wars.

Piett & Vader 

I like to think that given a bit more time Admiral Piett and Vader could have been something akin to friends. 
So any fic that showcases that would be awesome!
I really like Piett & Vader on adventures planetside together.
Or AUs of any form where Vader and Piett survive ROTJ and meet again. 

*clears throat* - I know it hasn't been nominated (WHY NOT?) but if you want to go the slashy route that would be MORE THAN fine!

My dears!

I have decided to go to the London one!

This would be the weekend Friday 16 – Sunday 18 November 2018!

There are 5 shows in total, so we're bound to find one that we'll go to. 
Prices range from 35-85 Pounds. I tend to like better seats/a better view, so I usually go with the higher priced ones. 
But that is all subject to discussion!

So far frogspace and evandar have expressed interest!
I'll probably take this to e-mail in a couple of weeks, so if anyone wants to come, PLEASE let me know even if you're not sure yet. 
With a date in November I don't think it's necessary to book in the next couple of weeks but we should not leave it too long either. 
ridicully I'll put you on the list, too, if you don't mind, will make many things easier. 

For the ones who can't or don't want to go to London:

Oberhausen, April 20th , 7.30 pm
Tickets between 62,20€ and 102,20€ (plus fees).
If there are enough people interested I would go to that one, too.
So, please let me know.

First there was Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter and now it is Star Wars Time!  
The Star Wars movies are also getting the Movie-on-the-big-screen-with-music-live-from-symphonic-orchestra treatment.
Squee!
Kicking off with A New Hope from now to April (Germany) this year with Empire Strikes Back to follow next year.
Plus side: - Star Wars on the big screen! 
                 - with 10,000 fans
                 - with LIVE SCORE by symphonic orchestra!

Bitte teilt mir mit, ob Ihr kommen wollt, damit ich planen kann.

Da nun Platz für 2 Tische ist, können entweder mehr Leute kommen oder etwas platzintensivere Projekte mitgebracht werden. 

Wer erst nachmittags kommen möchte, auch gerne, bitte nur Bescheid sagen wegen essen. 

Also, altbekannt: 
Ich lasse den Thermomix kochen, natürlich in Absprache wegen Allergien etc. Wenn sich jemand für den Nachtisch zuständig fühlt, freue ich mich sehr! Knabberzeugs ist aber vorhanden. 
Es gibt Wasser, Saft, Bionade/BioLimo/was ich einkaufe, Milch, Kakao, Tee und - PREMIERE - auch Kaffee! 
Wenn jemand weiteres möchte bitte selbst versorgen.

WLAN ist vorhanden, Strom und Verlängerungskabel auch ;-), Wolle, Stricknadeln, Nähmaschine, alles für's kreative Arbeiten mit Papier, Stifte, Schreibmaterialien, etc.. Evtl. bitte absprechen, dann muss nicht alles mitgebracht werden.

Ich freue mich über alle die kommen und darauf nach dem Feiertagsstress ein bisschen kreativ zu sein und vielleicht(!) sogar ein paar Stories fertig zu bekommen!.
