Since biographies are potentially under the purview of almost all WikiProjects, it is important that we work in tandem with these projects. Also, when seeking collaboration on articles, don't neglect to approach WikiProjects that are part of the geographical region your subject is/was in.
Increase the exposure of our work group by nominating our articles for their Portal FA and DYKs... Specific discipline portals are listed in that section.

Directions for expanding any division below
editThe general outline and collection has been started, but if you would like to expand and organize a discipline, here's what you do. Right below the page heading for the discipline insert this: {{subst:Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Work groups/Division banner}} and save. This will put a rough outline together for you and then you can edit it to conform to your area. See Writers and critics below for an example. If your project grows large enough where it's taking up a good portion of this page, you should probably move it to a subpage of this page.
You might also want to make a Members section for people to join your specific area!
Tagging articles
editAny article related to this work group should be marked by adding |a&e-work-group=yes to the {{WPBiography}} project banner at the top of its talk page. This will automatically place it into Category:Arts and entertainment work group articles. Articles can be assessed for priority within this work group by using the |a&e-priority= parameter. See Template:WikiProject Biography/doc for detailed instructions on how to use the banner.

Keep - It's interesting that this person has been documented for so many centuries; well over 3,000 years and into the present 21st century. The three existing are reliable sources. A super quick WP:BEFORE search on Google Books in English find many sources that include information about his life [8] all from reliable presses like Cornell University Press, American University in Cairo Press, British Museum, Netherlands Institute for the Near East, Society for the Study of Egyptian Antiquities Journal, Journal of the Egyptian Archaeology, Journal of the American Research Center in Egypt, University of California Press, and more. If one were to do a search on JSTOR or on Egyptian Google, they would probably find more. As far as the lifting of content from another Wikipedia article, that problem can be fixed by giving proper attribution, and editing. It's not a reason for deletion (AfD is not for clean up). Policy wise, I'd say he clearly meets WP:GNG and WP:ANYBIO and WP:BASIC. Netherzone (talk) 16:38, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
Relies excessively on local newspapers, rather than state/national titles, to assert notability, and the state newspaper source listed doesn't mention the art collection (and I can't find any more that add to its notability in Wikipedia terms). There has been much promotional editing relating to its founder over the years; see Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wazdanny. Graham87 (talk) 05:56, 18 December 2025 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
Artist, not much in the way of reliable sources. Most edits are either done by himself, or single use accounts. Feels like a vanity page. Granted I don't know enough about glass blowing and art museums to know if he qualifies for WP:CREATIVE (substantial part of a significant exhibition, won significant critical attention, been represented within the permanent collections of several notable galleries or museums). Nswix (talk) 21:48, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Fails WP:NARTIST. No evidence that subject is notable enough for a standalone article, and coverage from reliable sources is clearly insufficient. CycloneYoris talk! 09:42, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Fails WP:GNG.4meter4 (talk) 20:31, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Lack of significant coverage warranting a BLP article. Go D. Usopp (talk) 10:37, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
This person does not appear to meet WP:GNG or WP:NARTIST. Of the sources in the article, three are from Wellesley College, where Frisch taught, and thus not independent coverage. The banner at the top of the 21centuryantiques.com article says they were "commissioned to represent" Frisch, so that's definitely not independent coverage either. My search on Google does not turn up any better sourcing. My search on Newspapers.com does turn up a few hits, with the two best matches I found being from The Day: a 1980 obituary and a 1962 profile of an art exhibition at Wellesley College. All the other hits I looked at were passing mentions ("Frisch exhibiting here on this date" type blurbs). Overall, I'm not seeing enough to establish notability. Zeibgeist (talk) 02:59, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLP. Google search returned no news or books, and websites do not show any sigcov outside of just auctioning his works. Article history shows little useful referencing and mostly just promo. JacobTheRox(talk | contributions) 11:34, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
Tagged for notability and neutrality for four months, since September. Fails WP:NBUSINESSPERSON and WP:AUTHOR: Tunnel Vision clothing does not stand out commercially among other businesses since its foundation in 2014, and her only book has not won any awards or been included in bestselling lists. NoonIcarus (talk) 16:49, 1 December 2025 (UTC)
Unref article, I couldn't find evidence he meets WP:BIO / WP:GNG. Boleyn (talk) 10:02, 1 December 2025 (UTC)

AuthorseditAfDs for this article:
Previously discussed in 2004, where it was a resounding keep. However, I don't think the subject meets current criteria for notability. Existing sources in the article:
Cited to only works written by the subject. Contains zero independent sources. Not clear this person passes WP:NACADEMIC, WP:NAUTHOR, or WP:GNG.4meter4 (talk) 14:46, 19 December 2025 (UTC)
Fails WP:AUTHOR. Regional Sahitya Academy is regular practice. SaTnamZIN (talk) 09:20, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
managing editor (not even editor-in-chief ) of a local malayalam news tv. 90% of the sources are from the same 'news tv' channal as he is their employee. Wikipedia does not allow even an artcile for president of a youth political wing. An english artcile for a managing editor of a local news tv channal in kerala, is truely promotional and not notable figure. دثلميح (talk) 03:49, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
This article is supported almost entirely by passing mentions or primary sources. The most notable coverage was a single review of a book he wrote, everything else is a primary source or brief. I searched online and he only appeared on non-reliable sources, like personal websites and podcasts, or in pieces he wrote himself. aaronneallucas (talk) 00:14, 16 December 2025 (UTC)
AfDs for this article:
I'm unconvinced that this guy passes WP:BIO. Pretty much all of the sources that actually mention him are advertorials or actual advertisements. Anything else that I've found in a BEFORE is ... the same. Black Kite (talk) 19:23, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
Except for the third citation from his self-published book and the fourth citation of a blog, none of the other sources offer independent information about the author. Most of the references seem to originate from self-published material or from obscure, little-known publishers. The awards listed in the infobox cannot be verified through any reliable sources, and a general online search turns up no credible or mainstream mentions of the author. This strongly indicates that the subject lacks notability. In other words, the article reads more like self-promotion or paid publicity than a neutral entry. Too much personal information was added, which clearly indicates that the article’s author is closely connected to the subject, and this information is not available in the public domain. Despite deletion warnings and maintenance tags, the author removed the tags without providing any proper explanation. Khorang 17:13, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
Not notable, fails WP:BIO. Popcornfud (talk) 14:31, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
Fails WP:AUTHOR with no reviews of her book. Clarityfiend (talk) 00:03, 8 December 2025 (UTC)
I propose that this article be deleted under the General Notability Guideline. The article does not demonstrate that Pam Blackwell meets the standard of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Rationale Insufficient independent sourcing The article does not cite any reliable, independent secondary sources that provide substantial biographical coverage of the subject. The only reference is to an archived webpage of her own professional organization, which is a self published primary source. Self published sources cannot establish notability (Wikipedia, 2024a). No significant coverage showing enduring notability There are no books, newspaper articles, academic publications about her, or other independent sources that examine her career or influence in depth. Routine mentions or listings do not satisfy notability under the General Notability Guideline (Wikipedia, 2024b). Promotional tone and reliance on primary claims Much of the article repeats claims taken from the subject’s own organizations, teaching materials, or institutional affiliations. Without independent verification, these claims cannot demonstrate notability. Promotion based on unverified or primary material does not qualify a subject for a standalone biography (Wikipedia, 2024c). Lack of independent verification of achievements Items such as an NEA Fellowship, her novels, her meditation institute, and her roles in psychological or spiritual organizations are mentioned in passing but are not supported with independent sources that confirm their significance. Without independent sources establishing the importance of these accomplishments, the subject does not meet inclusion criteria. Does not meet notability for authors, academics, or educators Notability guidelines for authors and academics require multiple, independent, secondary sources providing in depth discussion of the subject’s work and influence (Wikipedia, 2024d). These are not present. Because the article does not provide significant, independent coverage that demonstrates notability, relies almost entirely on primary or self published claims, and does not meet the standards for biographies of authors, educators, or academics, it should be deleted.
