Hello Huguenot Project folks,

The project page says that we should add the project as profile manager to PPP profiles we manage. But we need your email address to do so. Could you please add the project as profile manager to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Deveaux-3

(It's generating an error without you.)

Please retain me as co-manager. Thank you.

Hi Huguenot Migration Project,

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles!

It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines laid out on that page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Need the criteria for someone to be listed as a Huguenot or of Huguenot descent. I have two confirmed Huguenot ancestors, Abraham Sallee, and Pierre Chastain. I think I have now found a third family, the Polly family. My earliest confirmed ancestor is Edward Polly (b. Abt.1713 d. 30 Aug 1770 Pittsylvania County VA.) Some are trying to force a link to an Edward Polly born in Massachusetts, who migrated to New Hampshire. There were Polly's who went to both Manakintown VA and Hampton VA. These places are where I suspect my Edward Polly's parents or grandparents immigrated. Pollys immigrated at ports from Charleston Carolina Colony to cities in New England.

Thanks Victor Lee

Hi Victor,

I would check the Huguenot Society of America website. They have a list of qualifying Huguenot ancestors. That is not to say not is all inclusive. But that is a good place to start. There is also a FB page for Descendants of Huguenots that you may also join, people are quite helpful about places to look.

Norma Manatt Allman: My father's grandmother, Cornelia Squiers Manatt always claimed that the Manatts were Huguenots who migrated to Ireland.I have never been able to prove this. Is there any way I can research this?

Please address the de Bourdeaux family line problems. I've done what I can. I worked on it today. It seems endless. Jacques de Bourdeaux (the correct spelling) b.1660 needs merging with other spellings and his father Evereaud (also spelled Evremond) merged with his supposed brother. Care needs to be taken to keep all the descendants of Jacques.

I have plenty of correct sources on ancestry.com, but I don't have time to add them here. You can get information from the Huguenot Society of South Carolina, a book reference, FROM NEW BABYLON TO EDEN; the Huguenots and their Migration to Colonial South Carolina, by Bertrand van Ruymbeke, and lists of Huguenot passengers to South Carolina, or I can give someone access to my family tree on ancestry.com. There have been other requests by other people for resolutions to this. Thank you

How do I add the project as manager of Moses Cantine ? Also how do I add the family sticker to his children?
