Hi Karen, thanks for the work on the profile of Bessie (Owen) Roensch Owen-3973, it looks like there are issues with her siblings too. I am a Rowlett researcher, descendant of the Rowletts of Virginia and monitor Rowlett updates.

FYI, nation= only works on Native American Sticker; it does not work on Native American project box. Use tribe= instead.

Also we don't place the project box AND sticker on a profile; use justproject box if PPP; otherwise, just sticker. But never both.

THanks so much!

Jillaine - thank you for the explanation. I'm a bit confused. though (as usual). Both tribe and nation are given as project box templates. How does someone make the distinction? Also, the stickers were already on the profiles. I simply added the project box. In the future, I will delete the sticker. Again, thanks for the information. I appreciate it!

Let me ask Eowyn to look into it, as I can't edit templates. If the documentation says one can use nation= on the project box template, then it should work, but it's not currently working. And actually, I'm not sure we need it anymore.

We used to include the word "tribe" or "nation" in the text for both project boxes and stickers. So it used to say: Pocahontas was a member of the Powhatan Tribe [or Nation, depending on which parameter ID you used]. This was particularly important for Cherokee who did not use the word "tribe" but did use the phrase "Cherokee Nation".

Then a few years back, we changed/simplified the language of both stickers and project boxes to just read: Pocahontas was Powhatan, or Doublehead was Cherokee. So now, we don't really need two different parameters.

P.S. thanks for working through the suggestions for the NA project account. I made a few corrections; we always use a tribe= parameter on either the project box or the project sticker; otherwise the profile won't be categorized correctly. In a couple of cases, you'd removed the tribal affiliation; in another, a case of uncertain existence, I replaced the NA project box with the NA Adjunct project box. Read more here if you're interested: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Template:Native_American_Adjunct

Thanks again for supporting the Native Americans project.

Hello Karen,

Hortense Côté is my great great grand-mother. On her WikiTree page I see that she is the daughter of Anicet Côté and Séraphine Talbot dit Gervais but Hortense’s birth mother is Angélique Miville dit Deschênes, Anicet’s first wife. Hortense was born on Nov 21st 1831 and her mother Angélique died 2 months later Jan 23rd 1832. Anicet remarried in Nov 1832 to Séraphine Talbot dit Gervais. I have an image of Hortense’s birth certificate if you need it, I’d be happy to share it. It is true that Séraphine has been the person who raised Hortense but her birth mother is Angélique. Have a lovely day!

Hi, Jane. The profile for Mitchell Daviau had a suggestion regarding being an "empty profile". There was nothing in it, so I added the required (by WikiTree) standard headings and, since there were no sources, an "unsourced" sticker. I didn't delete anything. Promise. Check the "changes" tab on that profile to see all that was done and by whom. I see you deleted my work. That's your prerogative, but I was just following standards. Be aware that the suggestion concerning the empty profile will show up again.

Nice to meet another cousin. Saucier links up with Michaud, which is my main branch.
