Biography
Raphael Alfred was born in 1851 to Etienne Michaud and Adelaide Charron dit Laferriere. He is a great x3 grandson of Pierre Michaud who immigrated from France to Nouvelle France (Quebec Canada) in 1656 and is progenitor of this Michaud line in North America.
Before his second birthday, his father moved the family from Bas-Canada to Maine, where Raphael remained the rest of his life. He married at age 20 to Edith Adele Pelletier. She died when he was 67 and he married 6 months later to widow Mary Addie (Ellis) Colley. Alfred passed away in 1923 at 71 years of age.
