During a mass breakout from the Uranium City Internment Camp, the Canadian Rebel rushed a member of the U.S. Marines wearing T-45 Power armor, detonating a bomb vest he was wearing and killing them both. Joan was inadvertently caught in the blast and mortally wounded.
