Good game. Started playing it a week ago and it really has some fun mechanics. The portal minigame shines for it's simplicity wich is a good decision in an adult game. Nothing too hard but still rewarding.  Great art, good music and is set in an interesting situation. 

Maybe it's me, but the game does feel a too inclined to the errand boy role. That's not my style, I still have nightmares of clicking Audrey to see on top of the options another quest line.  I know it still has more to offer and surely the content I haven't seen has to be better. But to be honest I don't want to grind that much. 

MC has a problem --> search for he help of a side character --> side has problems too --> help them fix them so they can fix yours --> repeat

I won't continue playing, but alas it's a great work.

Yes, at some point the writer’s work got ahead of the artist’s, so the middle of the game ended up with a lot of “go there” -> “go here” quests.

Right now, one of the things we’re working on is cutting down those quests and filling the mid-game with new art content.

What are the differences between the public and paid versions? Is the public version very limited in terms of scenes? Excuse my questions, but I'm really curious 😅

At the moment, the public version is 2 months behind the paid version. In the future, that gap will increase. Closer to release, the free version will stop receiving updates.

Hi! You completed the tutorial on “Easy” difficulty, and that cuts the rewards in half. As a result, instead of the 2 stones needed for construction, you received 1. We’ve already fixed this in the next update, but unfortunately you’ll need to either load a save from before the tutorial or start over from the beginning.

Hi. You need to click on the cathedral building in the city center.

If you don’t have an objective for this quest, it means you loaded an autosave that was made in the old version right before the assault. Open the load panel, go to the autosaves section, the letter “A”, and load an earlier save.

Do i have to replay the entire demo content if i start the current version ?

If you mean the web version, there will be an option at the end to export your progress file for the full version.

If you mean the free downloadable version, its saves will transfer automatically to the full version when you launch it.

I downloaded the android version and tried to extract but it doesnt show me 'Magic Academy'.exe anywhere its just other words, please help

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to do.

If you want the Windows version, you need to download the archive with -win in the name. Inside it, you’ll find the usual .exe file.

If you need the mobile phone version, download the file with the .apk extension and put it on your phone, then open it on the phone. It’s an installer file, so you don’t need to unzip it; the phone can handle it itself.

If you bought the bundle last month, you can simply download the new version directly from itch.

Emailing us is only necessary if you purchased the game on the old page before August 2025.

im currently playing the game but how do i save in the game like i tried using the bottons that normally work but it didnt so what am i supposed to do

The web version is a short demo that shows the core gameplay. It doesn’t have manual saves. Saving will only be available at the very end, with the option to export it to the downloaded version.

I finished the game and im curios btw im playing the unpaid version 6.4.2 how do i romance audrey like there arent any intimate scenes in the gallery besides the vines one do i just have to wait  untill the game gets updated again?

The gallery only shows the scenes currently in the game, not a character's full storyline. The upcoming updates will actually be focused on advancing the girls' personal storylines.

I’ve been playing for two days now and I’m really impressed with the gameplay and art style! Great work. I did notice that only on some explicit scenes, like the Ice Elf or Cat Rogue, have moaning sounds. I'm not sure if this is a bug or still in development, but I think adding full VFX to all characters would make those scenes twice as enjoyable. Keep up the good work

Yes, the game is still in development, and we only found a sound designer a couple of months ago — so right now she's only had time to do the audio for part of the scenes. Our plan for the coming months is to add sound to all the scenes, comics, and some of the regular interactions in the game.

Oh. We used to have a bug where you could enter a location with two active quests that both required you to go there, and one of them would break.

We fixed this in later versions, so it looks like you ran into exactly that situation.

You can send me your save file on Discord and I'll fix it, or you'll have to wait for the update.

how do I get the final for Audrey's storyline  

Just keep playing. The finales of the personal conflicts become available in the final act.

If i get the paid version on itch.io and the game releases on steam do i get further updates cause in some countries u cant buy games like this.

The paid version on itch is identical to the Steam version and will always be updated in parallel and stay identical. We even built our own achievement system so the two versions match completely.

I think some kind of progress system is needed some events need to be locked behind the story progress. at somepoints i was confused what they talk about. at first i thougth the portal position is random but look there now that i reachedd the story part where I encountered said enemy it makes sense. please can u fix that i dont want to run in spoilers.

There are some errors with the dialogues where the wrong speaker is in the name box it streches though the whole content of the version. Sometimes the character name is replaced with the hero

Yes, in versions 0.6.5 and 0.6.6 we did a huge amount of text proofreading to fix issues like this along with some other text errors.

We also have an "acts" system that, in theory, should restrict the things you're talking about. Can you remember what exactly triggered the "spoiler" for you? It's possible we forgot to "gate" one of the quests.

i could just straight up chain the mission from louise after the secound half of act 2 and beginning of act 3. i was wondering why i unlocked the pixie portle.

I remember that after the lillian scene from the foundation party some random scene glitched in for nearly a sec i dont know if that helps

Yes, Louise has a separate scene with Pixie in the personal conflict. Did we mention Pixie anywhere else besides that one? Or what exactly is the ordering inconsistency?

while progressing further in her personal conflict the paladin is mentioned even before u arive there in the story, she hinted that u already encountered her. at that point i didnt even defeat the cat or the goblin chieftain

I have run into what I think is a bug: In the quest The Cards are on the Table I need to give Audrey 10 iron and 15 Magic dust, and I have  201 iron and 119 magic dust... and I can't give it to her.  The game acts like I haven't enough to give (i.e. clicking on the button does nothing)

I have tried saving and reloading, saving and quitting and reloading and neither helped.

PS: I found a workaround, I had to mine more iron, and grind for more magic dust, and when I came back and tried again that time workd

That's really strange. Maybe you could have just re-entered the location? Did I get this right — the button was interactive, but when you pressed it, nothing happened?

Sorry for not being clear, I was saying that button was probably disabled.  I find the enabled effect fairly subtle and don't think it was enabled when I clicked it.

I did try leaving the venue and returning, I also tried progressing to another day.  I tried going on an adventure and returning.  I tried talking to all characters and then returning.  I tried visiting all locations and returning. It was only after gathering more resources and returning that I was able to progress.

Sadly I didn't think to try to gather one type of resource and check, I just went ahead and gathered everything.

Huh. That's really strange. It sounds like, for some reason, only the displayed resource count was changed, but not the actual inventory. Were you using CheatEngine? This can happen if you change the number in the UI instead of the actual resource variable.

Good thought, but I was not.  I was playing the game just as downloaded.  If it is relevant I am on an m1 mac mini 16GB RAM, running off an external SSD.  At first I suspected some kind of rollover bug, but even if you were using a signed 8 bit int (for some season) 119 still wouldn't roll over into negative.

I don't know if this is relevant but I also had to defeat two different bosses twice.  I would get the quest to do it, go defeat them, come back deliver the item, and then a few steps later I would be told to defeat that boss again.  I honestly don't remember if the dialog supported that, but it felt odd so I wanted to mention it

the new scene on the beach just does this and then it crashed at the end on Android all previous scenes worked fine so don't know what was different in this update?

i cannot resist a clicking on a game that says make your own acadamy with black jack and hookers, i just cant resist that, its unfair lol

i love the game, but i swear the fights with the two wolves and the slime are actually impossible to win. the wolves just stack bleed with every turn until i'm taking at least 5 damage per turn, while they all heal back 6 per turn and have 30% damage absorption, meaning i just can't out-damage them. I can't focus the slime to kill it or else the wolves bleed stack me on top of the damage they already do for an attack. if i try to stack defense, i can't attack at all and i'm slowly whittled down. if i try to focus on attack, i just die within a few turns. maybe i'm doing something wrong, but man it feels absolutely hopeless to the point i don't even bother with those encounters.

You can make some insane combo with ice cards where you can pretty much kill anything in one turn try see with different spell setups maybe?

Load a different save through the Load panel. There's a tab with the letter "A" — those are autosaves made at every transition between locations. In your case, were you trying to load an old save from before a battle in Journey?

Brother, the goblin is proving difficult for me; her ally summoning mechanic is what makes her tough. At this rate, I'm going to have to grind to defeat her.

You can lower the difficulty before starting the adventure (where you choose the portal for the journey).

The wire connecting game is interesting, but I would love to see a few changes.
Give us the option to backout / reset.
I'm currently stuck on one with no idea what the solution is (even if I am dumb), this is a problem as I am now stuck and my last save was a good while back.

An autosave is made every time you transition between locations. But we'll think about adding a level state reset button.

A small bug with Rose and The Pensieve (Android.ver)

Well, I encountered the bug with Audrey and her scenes 4 and 5 (you probably already know from the other comments). I did a New Game+ and replayed everything to get to Audrey. 

When her scenes finally unlocked, I was curious to see if anything was missing, and it turns out Rose's eighth scene was missing (which I recently completed in my normal playthrough). 

So I progressed through story mode until her seventh heart unlocked, and when I finished the scene... it didn't unlock again. I repeated it a few times (I even made a save file to retry) and it's still locked. What should I do?

Hi, I have a question. Is it good that the blue bar in the character profile increases, or is it better that the orange one increases?

We deliberately chose neutral colors instead of green and red bars. The bars don't have a "good" or "bad" side — they represent two facets of a character's personality, and you influence which one they ultimately lean toward.

As part of the latest character personal quest finale, is it correct that we have one ending currently ? 

Or is it intended that their favour bar always swings orange after the end of their personal quest, even if it was majority blue prior ?

The personal quest finale will depend on which side of their personality you've been supporting. This will affect both their final comic and the dialogue scenes themselves.

Ahh so in this case it's intended to swing the opposite for the character involved ? Or have I found a bug ? As the case for that particular run, I elected to support in all but one occasion the blue pathway but the ending triggered the character to go full orange. 

That's... strange. Perhaps we misconfigured something. Could you show a screenshot? Which character did this happen with?

If you're talking about the personal conflict comic — only the one whose ending you got is unlocked. If you're talking about other scenes — you've most likely already seen them and this is just a bug with unlocking them in the memories. It will be fixed in upcoming versions.

Hello, sorry to bother you, but... I've been playing for quite a while and I've noticed that in the memories option there are several locked scenes that I haven't seen, for example I've only managed to unlock 2 scenes of RoseIs this because I have the public version, or is it some kind of error? A short guide would be a great help, thanks. 

Hi! This issue existed in some older versions. Most likely, you've already seen these scenes — they just didn't unlock in the memories. In one of the upcoming updates, this will happen automatically after you load your save.
