You can call me Jordan. That’s not my real name, but that IS what you can call me.
I'm a 28 year old bisexual and autistic woman, and I have what some may call a VARIETY OF INTERESTS.

Also picking up new books you’ve never heard of before because the premise sounds neat or the cover is pretty or it’s on a themed library display or you’re just trying to read your library’s entire catalogue of 90s cyberpunk is just fun. Sometimes it’s not your thing but you get to mull over new ideas or the diversity of people and opinions and thoughts in the world. Sometimes you discover your new favorite book of all time

Everyone should say what new favorite book they found this way in the tags!!

i actually found three excellent new books at my library this way... just wandering through non fiction and going "oooh neat!". A lot of times I start a book I've found this way only to get bored or uninterested. But this time I picked out three bangers:

  • "Ungovernable: the victorian parent's guide to raising flawless children" (hilarious, HIGHLY recommend. Also well researched.)
  • "Ugly Beauty" - a really interesting one about two early century beauty product magnates. The book contrasts and compares their different journeys....and lets just say there's lots of Nazis involved.
  • "Dante in Love" - I'm still reading this but it's a fascinating look not just at Dante Allighieri and his most famous poem, but the world he lived in.

what you learn from hobbies:

  • consistent practice opens up whole worlds of skill that you couldn't imagine
  • making mistakes in the process of learning is not only natural, it is also essential
  • activities that you enjoy can give you more energy back than you spent on them
  • wow everything is so expensive
  • my hands hurt

my actual vampire hot take is that if you're going to be a 'vegetarian' vampire (a vampire that only drinks the blood of animals) you MUST have hunter education. i'm so sick of people being like oh well predator animals are mean and scary because they kill cute 'harmless' animals like NO they're crucial for the environment and if you're going to hunt animals for blood you still need to stick to regular people hunting guidelines and only hunt things that are in season and abide by your areas bag limits

vampire that did a detailed study about whether vampires can get prion diseases and concluded they can't and preferentially hunts animals with chronic wasting disease. and then incinerates the corpses.

vampire who is a woke predation abolitionist and so exclusively hunts predators, leaving primarily herbivorous and scavenging animals alone

"For miles around the foul creature's lair is nothing but barren wastes"

"because of The Curse?"

"Because of the deer and rabbits, fucking thing ate all the wolves"

no offense but you guys need to learn the difference between someone implying their experience is universal and a post simply just not being about you

Oat milk was discovered much more recently than you may have known. Like many now-familiar technologies, it was found by accident during the Apollo program when NASA learned what a zero-g environment does to goat milk.

T_T I wish bathroom-related disabilities weren’t still today the subject of so much baseless ableism and hatred.. When you learn that kind of shame, it can kill you. People think “it’s too embarrassing to be seen buying an enema, or to go to the ER and need a manual disimpaction. I’ll just wait this one out” and then the bowel perforates and that can kill you in no time at all. And a LOT of it is just because of the meaningless stigma surrounding something as universal and basic as.. peeing and pooping?? That’s insane! Most everyone does it! Get over yourself and stop perpetuating shame!! Knowing someone has to wear a diaper will not kill you, but the embarrassment that person feels might just kill them!!

just here to say that i love seeing you guys (you, the different anons, coffee ask days, the weird lore this blog has created, etc) on my dash.

i dont go here. i follow anyway. i was originally here just to see hot guys (og tournament i think) and thats it. i dont know who these people are. i dont really want to watch these old movies. and yet im captivated.

i feel like one of those people you see at conventions where you can tell they dont go there you just KNOW they saw there was an event and decided "fuck it, im already here. i can spend $10 on a ticket to wander around the expo hall" like get a load of THIS guy, it doesn't even know what a 'gene kelly' is!

having a ball though :) i like pressing the buttons

you are exactly who this blog was made for.

one of my top intentions when i made the blog was to keep it accessible for people who just want to see the hotties, and don't already know any of the movies. knowing you're actually here is amazing and exactly what i wanted. and i'm so glad you like all the weird lore! i like it too!

here, have a bunch of extremely hot people and buttons. thanks for sticking around :)

propaganda :3

if fallout 76 really is a world where “every character is a real person” & there’s no NPCs im making it my civic duty to be like this lowly tavern barkeep and then once i’ve established enough of a rapport i’m going to nuke all of west virginia and it will be in character
