tinnyIcons I made in April and May for challenges that required me to post them somewhere else than here.

turbo_rumble. I got thrown out of the tvlims in round 5 under less than ideal circumstances (i'm still a little miffed about that). And I made fourth place at the calendarsquares Spring Rumble, which is completely awesome and happy-making.

on 2016-06-05 08:30 am (UTC)The blue icons are of Eve Baird from the Librarians. I can't remember if we've talked about the Librarians and whether I should know if you know them or not. But if you don't know the Librarians, you should definitely watch them! I think you would like them. They're a bit cheesy and non-threatening and very well written, and they have a kickass female lead (a lot like Buffy, really).

on 2016-06-06 06:50 pm (UTC)I have such a love-hate relationship with all those lims icons, because I got so much criticism for them. It kind of warps my perception of them, so I'm extra glad you like them!
The firefly icon is the one that got me voted out, because it's neither vibrant nor muted enough, which, yeah, I can understand, but I still love it. (I did everything else right, dammit. ;))
I'm pretty proud of the composition in 4, too, although something with the text is wrong - I couldn't get it to look clean, no matter what I did.

on 2016-09-20 07:01 pm (UTC)If you have any special ideas or requests, I'd be happy to make a bunch of icons for you to choose from. Either stock or fandom icons, whatever you like. Because I know, the older my icons get the worse they are. I used to make DW icons, but those are so old by now, you won't want to use them. ;D
If you tell me which style of my icons you like best, I'll try to make some similar ones.
Icon making is my passion, and if I can make someone happy with it, that is the best!

Right now I haven't got specific ideas as to which pictures/scenes it should be, but you can ask me for ideas, maybe I'll get some. :-) I could also use some for my more tiny fandoms, but I'll have to look up pics first!

on 2016-09-25 08:12 am (UTC)And for general tastes about styles and such, which you can ignore if it doesn't help you decide what to do (such as if that doesn't feel like your style at all): I often really like fantasy-ish and Victorian-ish styles, as well as the steampunk aesthetic. As well as the retro-scifi feel of DW, of course. :-) When there are people in the pictures, I prefer that the effects don't mask their faces too much.
