My name is TeddiBear and I'm a fun loving 35 year old. I'm an established non-apologetic slashgirl and my favorite is m/m slash. I'm obsessed with fanfic in that I love to read it and I sometimes love to write it. I recommend my favorite fics and authors quite often in my LJ. I'm obsessed with slashfic, angstfic, and smutfic (NC-17). Favorite fandoms are West Wing, NCIS, X-Files, and most recently SG1, SGA, and Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. Favorite pairings are Josh/Donna, Josh/CJ, Josh/Sam, DiNozzo/Gibbs, Mulder/Scully, and Benson/Stabler and now Jack/Daniel, Daniel/Janet, Daniel/Cameron, and Daniel/Vala (sensing a theme here?) and also Sheppard/McKay and Daniel/Rodney. My latest slash pairing is Steve/Danno in the Hawaii 5-0 fandom. They are so married :) I love to hang out, talk on the phone, chat, post in my LJ (she's kept me sane for 15 years now (she's my therapy), watch tv, movies (especially DVDs), listen to music, shop, chill with friends, read, and play computer games online. Purple and Black are considered my power colors and I can usually be seen wearing heaps of both. I am absolutely crazy about Tigger and Marvin the Martian! I have many obsessions and collections. I'm a self confessed sci-fi geek and I also love military and crime dramas. I'm a female Peter Pan at heart and while I may be growing older, I will honestly NEVER grow up. Care Bears are one of my favorite demonstrations of this with Share Bear being my favorite Care Bear as I am often compared to her. (That's why

purplemagnetism has a CB theme). I have very eclectic music tastes and enjoy many favorite artists. Lyrics and music speak to me, so I am often seen quoting my favorites, especially when they fit my mood. I'm an empath, so I feel everyone's pain. Because of this, I have been hurt easily in the past. Many times I feel "bruised and shattered, broken and tattered" but honestly I may bend, but I will never fully break. I'm very protective of my heart even though I do fall in love easily. I'm a romantic sap and a walking contradiction. I call my life an organized chaos. One day I hope to be well known in the field of public relations. I'm a Libra, so I have difficulty making decisions, I like to maintain a sense of balance in my life, and I'm very emotional, hence why my "mood is subject to change without notice." I love girly things like butterflies, flowers, dolphins, smiley faces, and pretty treasures. I moved to Las Vegas (been here over seven years now, woohoo!) and have a pretty successful job as a Lead Administrator in Casino Administration which is basically a mini-HR for our Gaming Team Members (going on nearly 6 years as a lead, nearly 7 in Casino Admin, and nearly 9 with the Sands Corporation). :) I have a bachelor's in English and because of it, am a total proofreader and will usually catch and correct people's mistakes. Heh. I tend to become obsessed with certain tv actors and have a flair for always talking about them in my LJ, usually ones featured in my favorite movies and television shows. Favorites at the moment, Bradley Whitford (Former DCOS Joshua Lyman on West Wing), Michael Weatherly (Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS) and Nathan Fillion (Capt. Malcolm Reynolds on Firefly) oh and let's not forget the fabulous Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson on SG1) and the very talented Alex O'Loughlin (Lt. Cmdr. Steve McGarrett on Hawaii 5-0). I'm a writer and a graphics artist (just recently got back into it). My graphics community is

purplemagnetism and there I display all the creations I have made as well as many of my collections. I like to ramble. I don't always make sense to anyone but myself. I'm a dorky fangirl and I have no problem defending my loves. My family, my soulmate, Chris, and my friends come first most often in my life and because of this I'm loyal and true blue. I'm also fiercely protective and quite a chatterbox. I can also swear like a sailor, that's why sometimes this LJ is not rated work-safe. I'm a good listener with a kind heart and caring nature. Didn't think it would happen to me again, but it has. Fell in love with the most wonderful man on earth,

A little over 5 years old, 2774 sq. ft, 4 bedrooms, 2 and a half bath, a den, and a loft. Pretty awesome, eh? Also, we're engaged! We got engaged on Tues. May 11th, 2010, our 40monthiversary :) Hee! There is a pic of my ring below. It is a 14K white gold opal heart surrounded by 12 amethysts and five diamonds down each side of the shank. It's exactly what I wanted since I'm not a huge fan of diamond solitaires. Pretty huh? :) *beams*

Guess what? We got married! Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Angel Park in Las Vegas, I became the happiest bride ever. We went to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for our honeymoon, Paris for our 1st anniversary, and Italy for our 2nd. Wonder where we'll go for our 3rd?

Hey look, I have yet TWO more obsessions: Stargate SG1 and Wearable Sculpture. I got into Stargate because of the totally kickass fic by Anais, Dr. Jackson's Diary and a lot of nudging by

nilahasi. I have completely fallen in love with the character, Dr. Daniel Jackson and have become obessed with seeing him in fic, especially when paired with Jack or more recently Janet, Vala, or Cameron. Really you can pair the boy with anyone. *g* Also Michael Shanks is such the hottie. *g* So nowadays I spend my time reading SG1 fic (mostly slash) and watching it on Sci-Fi on Fridays. As a treat, I bought myself all eight DVD sets for my birthday. *g* Cannot believe I didn't get into this show years ago. Meh. But so glad I finally did and hey I got into Stargate Atlantis too! Got a chance to attend the Stargate con in Burbank again in 2007 :) I did indeed get to meet Michael and squeeze his biceps *weg* Also met Cliff Simon (Ba'al), Colin Cunningham (Major Paul Davis), David Hewlett (Dr. Rodney McKay), Kate Hewlett (Kate McKay), Jason Momoa (Ronon Dex), Tori Higginson (Dr. Elizabeth Weir), Tony Amendola (Bra'tac), J.R. Bourne (Martouf), and Obi Ndefo (Rak'nor). In 2007 I got to meet Joe Flanigan (John Sheppard), Tahmoh Petiket (BSG and Dollhouse), Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck from BSG), and Jamie Bamber (Apollo from BSG) . They ALL ROCK. RIP for all those who lost their lives in September 11th's senseless attacks and my prayers, hope, faith, and heartfelt wishes go out to those families who have lost their loved ones and friends and to hope that someday they will find an inner peace and calm. Also thank you so much to the thousands of rescue workers, doctors, nurses, volunteers, and people helping out to aid in the rescue efforts of finding more survivors and saving those that could be saved. From across the miles, my heart weeps for my nation.
