Mayor Quimby's Bodyguards (Ernie and Big Tom)[1] are personal security for Mayor Quimby. However, they are sometimes lazy and slack off, looking at the sky when the mayor is in danger. This results in them getting fired and being replaced by Homer although they eventually return. They are implied to be romantically involved with each other.
