FOILED AGAIN.

It seems no one carries green argyle fabric. I've found the perfect pattern in paper, but I really don't want to make cosplay out of construction paper. WTF seriously.

Back from the con. I forgot how much I missed cosplaying. Geez. We won the wild card award (essentially judge's choice) for our masquerade :D

Will post pictures eventually, well once cosplay.com stops being such a dick.

That's 4 more hours for the shoulder pieces, 1/2 hour for the collar and about an hour for each sleeve top. I will so be a photo whore in this costume :3

So I got some cosplay work done on my third costume. Some. I managed to cut out the top of the jacket before the kitty stole my patterns.

It went from cutting out cosplay to Where's Waldo.
Anyway, tomorrow, I cut out the coat tails and epaulets and those weird shoulder things. Frickin' DMC. WTF is with your weird outfits? But that's okay. I get to be a d00d for Ycon. It'll be fun times :3

Also, the forecast today was 72° and sunny today so I wore shorts. Yeah well that went well when it turned out to be 60° and cloudy with a bitter wind. I was cold walking to lunch! We also saw this weird thing on our way too.

We took turns guessing what this thing was and whether or not poking it was a good idea. In the end we didn't poke it and left it by itself on the side of the street. None of us wanted to touch it.

Yanno. 4 years is a long time to know someone. It's funny that what you thought was a strong friendship for that long can be broken up so easily without a word over something I wasn't involved in (in fact, didn't know about until last Tuesday). Whatevs. Your choice. All I can say is so long and thanks for all the fish.

In better, less antisocial news, it's Friday! Hot weekend expected (wtf. it's cosplay time, don't make the house hot). I got one more costume to do and the con's a little over a month away. This is a big one I don't wanna wait on since it involves some painting to make it look like embroidery (since there's no way in hell I'm embroidering that much by hand. not a chance in hell). And then I'm done! No night before the con rush! Even if I'm taking off the Thursday right before, that's not the point. I'm gonna be done. And then sometime start on the epic cosplay for next year, hand-applique-ing satin. Sounds like a challenge :D

And the winning line today comes from an IM I sent to a fellow engineer on the project.
"There are bees in my code and I can't get rid of them."
Even in context this sounds weird.
It was a bug. A literal bug.
The bees in an effect were missing so my output window kept telling me "Cannot find Bees".
