Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (abbreviated as Nintendo WFC) was the online infrastructure used by the Nintendo DS and Wii for online play. It was first launched in November 2005 with Mario Kart DS and was later used by Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection was succeeded by Nintendo Network on the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. With GameSpy, who provided servers to Nintendo, being dissolved, Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection was discontinued on May 20, 2014, making online play in Nintendo DS and Wii games unavailable through official means.[1]

Below is a table of all online features in Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk that used Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. All of these are unavailable through official means following the discontinuation of Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection on May 20, 2014.
