As a fan of the novel the shards this series perfectly encapsulates the feeling I got when reading the novel. I love the sun drenched days and aloof nature of the main characters and it really makes me nostalgic for a period I never existed in.

The actors shine in their respective roles alongside a visually arresting backdrops of the period specific show but the storyline is a bit chaotic at times, and but it is purposeful and intentional at depicting the complexities the character is going through. I look forward to see where this show goes the first 4 episodes have me entranced !

The critics belong to a hivemind and do not believe the early reviews, This is tastefully and masterfully done. This show is a mesmerizing daydream mixed with a dark nightmare fantasy, first episode based off the first episode it hits every mark. Lily Rose Depp is incredible and the supporting cast lift her up to new heights until she soars and plateaus in the best ways imaginable. Abel and Sam's vision really captured that of a fraught pop star coping with young adulthood, freedom, liberation and choices is such a wonder to watch.
