Memory

Memory plays like a blended cop movie/revenge thriller and exhibits the strengths and weaknesses of both. At its best, it recalls the Mel Gibson movie Payback (which was similarly a remake of an earlier film based on book).

Memory is a well-made if uninspired action flick that forges an interesting new take on the genre… then forgets all about it.

The whole thing is so wrapped in leaden dialogue and B-movie cliché that by the last weary, bloodletting hour, you'll envy Alex's ability to forget.

In the end, “Memory” isn’t terribly convincing, but it’s at least trying for something more serious than most.

Memory is better than some Neeson action flicks, worse than others, but, predictable as it is to say, you'll have trouble remembering it much longer than its run time.

As his character’s cognitive abilities decline, Neeson’s repeated on-a-dime transition from killing machine to stuttering, doddering pawpaw — and then back again — feels eye-rollingly, almost offensively contrived.

Memory often feels more like a direct-to-video threequel than an actual movie.

It was ok - if the overall plot would be more interesting would give higher rating, but the whole idea about it being about memory and remembering does not really pop up much in the plot except towards the end and even then the whole thing is quickly solved - there couldve been so many better ways they could've went with the story to make it really interesting. but as a Neeson action movie I thought it was quite ok

(Mauro Lanari) How to allude continuously to "Memento" and not make a remake of it? Just change the title to "Memory", modify the neuropathology from anterograde amnesia to Alzheimer's, entrust the main role from Pearce to Neeson so as to guarantee both the action movie and the wink to the dementia of Hopkins in "The Father" (and this, moreover, acquires a metacinematographic value: Liam is 70, white hair, pale face, battered physique and is asking to retire). Does a "memorable" film come out of it? Not a classic or a masterpiece: watchable with tranquility.

The movie is boring too many characters with their own story it looses meaning and creating confusion and loss of story line

Hooooooly **** this movie is baaaad. Wish I could get that time back. What a waste.

This movie felt bland and boring. How do you even make action boring? The acting was just fine. Very forgettable film, with an unengaging story and a poorly conceived story. I don't have much to say about this movie honestly, I just would not recommend it.
