Tadaki was a 23rd century Human woman, an ensign who served in the Starfleet operations division as a security officer aboard the USS Enterprise in the 2260s decade.
History
In the year 2269, when Nyota Uhura assumed command of the Enterprise after all male personnel were incapacitated by the Taurean lura-mag device, Ensign Tadaki was one of four security guards that beamed down to Taurus II along with Uhura and Christine Chapel. Uhura and Chapel beamed back with hyper-aged James T. Kirk, Spock, Leonard McCoy and Carver, leaving Tadaki in charge of the team. She had orders to stun the Taurean women if necessary. After the four men were restored using old patterns stored in the transporter, they lost memories of their experiences on the planet. Montgomery Scott gave them tricorder microtape records made by Spock, McCoy and Tadaki. (TOS - Log Two novelization: The Lorelei Signal)
- Tadaki was named in the novelization. She was not specifically identifiable in the episode, as all four officers wore lieutenant stripes.
