Snape, Snape, Severus Snape

Potter Puppet Pal Quilt Block - Severus Snape
Potter Puppet Pals - Severus Snape

Around the middle of The Project of Doom, we took a week off from our BOW. During that break, I introduced Harry, Ron & Hermione Potter Puppet Pals.

Well, I of course could not leave it at our Trio. Today, I hope you enjoy Severus Snape.

Potter Puppet Pals videos.

Remember, for easy searching you can find all Harry Potter patterns posted on hp_paperpiecing archived on Fandom In Stitches!

PoD - The Finish

Thank you all for your wonderful response to Week 30. The Project of Doom has been such a pleasure to work on and to share and I can never thank you all enough for your participation!

This week, I bring you the final PoD post which includes layout suggestions for the 30 blocks that you made during our Block of the Week. I say suggestions because these are just that, suggestions. You do not have to follow my finishing instructions in order to complete your quilt, but if you want to create my original vision, this is it!

Project of Doom Week 30, Final Block!

This is it! I can hardly believe it.

On January 12 of this year, we embarked on a journey together. You gave me your time and attention and rode out the rough patches in the beginning as we worked through sizing and printing issues. You posted your photos to flickr and participating in a friending meme. The experienced quilters in our group adopted those less experienced and in need of fabric. We made friends. We laughed. We waited for Deathly Hallows part 2 together. With the generosity of your donations, I mailed out 7 monthly prizes to lucky winners and was thrilled at each of their responses.

We, in short, lived the last eight months together, meeting twice a week; once for sharing, and once for the excitement of a new pattern. It has been my great honor to share The Project of Doom with you. hp_paperpiecing will continue to exist, but as I have said in the past, the PoD is my last big HP quilting project.

I dedicate every block of this project to you. Every hour of planning. Every moment of scrutinizing lines until my eyes watered to make sure each block was as perfect as I could make it.

This is for us, so we remember what it was like to be a Harry Potter fan, right here, right now.

Always.

Reminder: If you DO NOT want to see the block before you make the pattern in order to keep it a mystery, please do not click on the cut! If you leave a comment, you will be taken behind the cut and will see the block...just FYI!

PoD Week 29

Well, hp5freak said it...this is the Penultimate Pattern!

And this one? This one is easy. And awesome. And fun. I think it'll make a fun addition to your quilt.

PoD 28

So, I kinda sorta broke a promise to you....

Remember about halfway through the PoD when I mentioned that all the blocks from here on out would be three wands or less in difficulty? Well...they were. Then I realized there was something really important that I wanted to include in the PoD that had not been in the original design.

So, this weekend, I redrafted and re-pieced this week's design and am now much happier with the final layout. Unfortunately, that means asking you to bear with me through one more 4-wander. Do you think you can do it if I pinkie swear this is the very last one? It's not hard, I promise, especially when you take it one piece at a time. I'd even go so far as to call this a 3 1/2, especially after all the practice you've had with the first 27 PoD blocks.

PoD Week 27

As I look over the last few patterns I have to share with you for the Project of Doom, I find myself getting a little choked up. It seems like we've been doing this forever, but at the same time, it feels as though we just started, which is much how I feel about my involvement in the Harry Potter fandom in general! I've enjoyed this process so much and once again want to thank you all for playing along.

PoD Week 26

The final countdown has begun! This week brings us block number 26. The PoD will be completely online by mid-August! There is a challenge in the works to encourage you to finish your quilt by the end of the year. I am open to suggestions and/or donations for prizes!

Thank you all for the great response to the idea of the projectofdoom community! Each and every one of you is welcome to join, share, post, etc. I'll be there, too, if you need me, even after the Project of Doom patterns have all been posted. :)

PoD Week 24

Another week, another PoD pattern! It's been an amazing time so far and we continue, somewhat miraculously to have new quilters join us each week. As we creep towards the end of our project, my own anticipation builds at the idea of not only sharing each of the remaining blocks with you, but also seeing what you all do with them and the metamorphosis from blocks to quilts!
