so this is my 691st post. somehow that feels special to me.
my brain has been running in circles and i find the slightest things beautiful, not mundane -
i told chris today that i was peeling and i was so excited. i've never peeled because of a sunburn before and something about it is so fascinating: the patchy circles of ragged skin, the intricacies of wrinkles imprinted on the falling pieces, like a strange topographical map of your body. it's like looking at a blueprint of you, a map of the world when all you've seen is the neighborhood in your nearest vicinity. no one has ever traced me like that before, painted me so exact.
i am the polaroid queen of high school prom dresses and sweetheart dreams. clichés and all, flying higher than the flashing lights, and smiling through the overexposure. insanity, lovely, wax poetic on-

die-sel is my friend, and neon blues and oranges. uncensored partying, late night spinning. friendly djs and whhhhisper breakbeats. life is insane-ity.
changed layout, finally. :] the blues make me happy, as oxymoronic as that sounds. electric-neon blue and locker-cerulean, dark blue and very pale rose = yaye!refreshing. water imagery, yes...(reminds me, need to watch "romeo+juliet" again ;]) also, lovely headers come from counting crows' "american girls" song = so much for the win. holy goodness, i love this song. it's...beautiful. &awesome. &beautifullyawesome. :D
still haven't gotten around to that SF post, but i will, i swear. there was too much awesomeness to forget. :] as for now, i'm going to talk to people, then study and do homework. oh, and shoutout:

but whatever. (almost) all my tests/major projects/deadlines this week are done with (finished bio, jap, trig, oracle, english project), which is....beyond lovely. this week has been hell. but i digress.
listening to vg songs, "hot one," "ballad of maxwell demon," and "tumbling down" is amazingly, awesomely therapeutic. especially since today these past few days were otherwise not. aaaand...i apologize for being antisocial to anyone/everyone i may have come in contact with. i really haven't been feeling it lately, so i decided to shut my mouth lest i say something scathing i'd regret later. in retrospect, i'm so glad i decided as much.
....now i feel superfluous. even the use of that word is superfluous. however, vg makes the world better. so. yes. ♥

main icon is velvet goldmine, 'touch'. calm, smooth skin, golden waves. seems...appropriate. (and not only in the pr0ny way, hah. ;x) gold, gold, and more gold, white background for space and light, orange-gold & black links for shadow and contrast. beautiful gold. :]
so finals are halfway done! goodness, then it'll be over soon enough and i won't know what to do with myself. ^^; oh, dear. must start planning. :]
