The reunion of Seven Lions, Above & Beyond, and Opposite The Other arrives with ‘Over Now,’ out now on Anjunabeats and Ophelia Records.

‘Over Now’ is the follow-up to Above & Beyond, Seven Lions and Opposite The Other’s collaborative debut ‘See The End’ (2019). It’s since become a staple in Above & Beyond’s live sets at clubs and festivals worldwide. This summer, Seven Lions joined Above & Beyond on stage to perform ‘Over Now’ at the trio’s biggest celebration of 2023, the Group Therapy Weekender at The Gorge, as seen in the official music video.

Melodic dubstep pioneer Seven Lions rapidly rose to prominence after winning a remix competition in 2011. His unique rework of Above & Beyond’s ‘You Got To Go’ (feat. Zoë Johnston) immediately grabbed the trio’s attention, sparking the beginning of a relationship that would span multiple collaborative performances between the two acts and an array of further Seven Lions remixes of Above & Beyond and Anjunabeats classics.

A vocal fan of Above & Beyond’s early works, Jeff’s (Seven Lions) own inimitable brand of high-octane, bass-saturated dance has always kept songwriting at its core. Some of his most recognizable Anjunabeats releases include his heavy-hitting remix 3LAU’s debut Anjunabeats smash, ‘Tokyo’ feat. XIRA, his unforgettable collaboration with Jason Ross and Paul Meany, ‘Higher Love’, and more.
"Having Jeff [Seven Lions] join us on stage at the Gorge to drop ‘Over Now’ in front of thousands of you was one of the highlights of our summer, and it was a joy to see how much you all connected with the track in the moment.

Our last collaboration, ‘See The End’, has always been one of our favourites to play out at our shows, and we’ve been waiting for the right moment to go back into the studio with Jeff and Sam [Opposite The Other]. We wanted to reconnect with that same energy, and ‘Over Now’ feels like the perfect follow-up.

It’s always a pleasure working with Jeff and Sam, and it’s been a treat to watch the reaction on dancefloors all over the world, thanks for all the love on this one so far!" - Above & Beyond
Seven Lions kicked off this year with his seismic ‘Journey III’ album tour, with stops at Los Angeles State Historic Park, three shows at Avant Gardner (Brooklyn Mirage), Downtown Las Vegas Event Center, San Diego’s Rady Shell, and beyond, selling over 125K tickets in total.

Songwriter and vocalist Sam Burger releases music under the moniker 'Opposite The Other'. Opposite The Other has supported globally renowned acts like The Cure, Bastille, The Lumineers, and more, and teamed up with Seven Lions earlier this year on ‘Alive’.

Reflecting on ‘Over Now’, Sam explains:
"The initial lyrical idea for the song actually came to me near the end of the pandemic. Like many others, I was in a dark place for so many reasons. The truth hit me that no matter how good or bad a situation is, there will always be an ending. This song is about the hope that the light at the end of the tunnel will arrive sooner rather than later. Working with Above & Beyond and Seven Lions once again has been the biggest joy, and I'm super excited to see how this song resonates with people".
Above & Beyond's next live celebration will see them return to Red Rocks Amphitheatre this October to helm two shows alongside label stars from Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, final tickets are on sale now (https://www.aboveandbeyond.nu/redrocks/).

Andrew Bayer releases double A-side 'What Is Real (with Vök) / If You Loop It, They Will Come', lifted from part two of his double album 'Duality'.

A two-part album project, ‘Duality’ began as a homage to Andrew's debut album, 'It's Artificial'. Crafted over three years, ‘Duality pt. 1' explores Bayer’s passion for downtempo and indie-pop, while ‘Duality pt. 2' takes on his forward-thinking trance and progressive sound.

‘Duality pt. 1' was released on August 12 via Anjunabeats. Met with acclaim from fans and supported by Sirius XM's Diplo and Liquid Todd, it featured collaborations with OLAN, Run Rivers, Asbjørn, MOR, Dave Thomas Junior and more.

On ‘Duality pt. 2’, Andrew takes the energy and BPM up a gear with ten tracks of cutting-edge club sounds - avant-garde sensibilities, aimed straight at the dancefloor.

"With ‘Duality pt. 2’, I intended to make a dance album that feels timeless, forward-thinking, and personal. So many dance records have lost a sense of dynamics both in their mixes and arrangements. Every track is littered with classic synths, and experimental sound design" - Andrew Bayer

Road tested on the 'Duality' tour and Andrew's performances at The Gorge and Brooklyn Mirage, 'What Is Real (with Vök) / If You Loop It, They Will Come' offer a tantalising preview of what's to come from 'Duality pt. 2’, out October 28.

"'What Is Real' and 'If You Loop It, They Will Come' highlight an important pairing of my club sound. 'What Is Real' tells the story of struggling with treating depression, and the side effects it brings. 'If You Loop It, They Will Come' is the response to being stuck in the eternal loop of knowing what is real and what isn’t. It snaps us back into a focused reality with a chorus of analog synths from the 70’s and 80’s, with a faint vocal sample repeating “it’s gonna be the same”. Accepting the fact that I always have and always will struggle with mental health issues was a big part of the acceptance I had to face while working on 'Duality'. It is part of my story, and part of many stories shared in our community." - Andrew Bayer
Andrew Bayer’s ‘Duality’ is available to pre-order on triple gatefold vinyl via the Anjuna Music Store. Alongside a long-awaited UK appearance at Group Therapy Weekender London, Andrew once again joins Above & Beyond at their Group Therapy milestone celebrations, as they mark 500 episodes of their long-running radio show in Los Angeles in October.

As part of the festivities, Andrew also hosts a special ‘Duality’ pre-party at Academy, Los Angeles on October 14, with special guests Naz, OLAN and Fatum - for more info, visit ABGT500.live

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"] One of those artists that will receive a GRAMMY award in the near future is the beloved Andrew Bayer. His Duality pt 1 was simply mindblowing and now we get a taste of what it comes on the 2nd part which will be directed to the clubs and festivals. First is the brilliant What Is Real. Fantastic vocals and lyrics co-exist with his signature sound of thumping grooves, punchy booming basslines, fat kicks and electric drive that simply knock you out straight away. The big synthy hook employed has the raising roof effect written all over it so you can expect those mad reactions by the fellow clubbers. 8 plus minutes of pure audio satisfaction. If You Loop It, They Will Come is the more instrumental tune with bouncy clubby kicks and drums, spanking bassline and most importantly ultra large synthy riff that will crawl under your skin and give you the electro shock you are sensing that is coming but you could not  realize how much will uplift you. Fat and furious indeed. Also included the bass/breakbeat/new electro American boy with beautiful vocals and edgy lyrics. Chaos is a breaks travelling along track with lyrics and cinematic atmosphere to close your eyes and let its electrical energy surround you. Midnight is powerful driving epic club track with top vocals that scream for clubs and festivals abuse. Equal is the melodic chillin dubstep inspired track to close your DJ set with a message and pop sensibilities! #PureGold Love IT  [/content]

Seven Lions returns on his own Ophelia Records with an old friend and collaborator in tow - Fiora. Together, they release Dreamin’ - the first single off of an EP project from Seven Lions that features the vocalist liberally throughout.

Fiora as a collaborator dates back to 2012, when she was the featured vocalist on one of Seven Lions’ most beloved tracks - Days to Come.

Dreamin’ comes on the back of yet another breakout single for Seven Lions - Ocean. A track with Jason Ross and Jonathan Mendelsohn, Ocean quickly became a set staple and anthem - a true fan favorite amongst one of dance music’s most rabid and loyal fan bases.

[item value="10"]Seven Lions feat. Fiora - Dreamin' (Remixes)[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Seven Lions is one of the finest artists with his own sound that moves between dubstep and melodic styles. His track Dreamin' with  Fiora is stand out and deserves remixes. Sunny Lax is responsible to translate it for big room trance floors and he comes up with a stellar version. Punchy basslines, thumping grooves, huge euphoric climax and the Fiora vocal that definitely will hypnotise you and uplift your spirit right to the next level. Last Heroes remix moves on the melodic dubstep direction with excellent orchestral strings, big synths, heavy basslines, tough distorted grooves and Fiora's angelic dreamy performance that simply graces the track with her spiritual touch. Finally Mazare remix starts with a nice relaxing breaks like intro and the drop goes on the melodic liquid drum n bass direction for the ultimate travelling experience within the very cinematic and truly touching sonic scenery that Mazare creates in his very unique version. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Showcasing a versatile and expansive range of music, Grammy-winning dance music DJ & producer, Afrojack, has today released a new EP titled “Press Play”. The EP features cross-genre dance music from club bangers to melodic anthems to progressive-house and includes an impressive fourteen tracks. Some of the tracks are already released and others are new today. The EP is also being released on Wall Recordings.

“Press Play” is packed with live set fixtures and many collaborations with artists who are signed to Afrojack’s Wall Recordings such as Chico Rose, Chasner, DISTO and Jewelz & Sparks. Fans will enjoy progressive-House-flavored singles like ‘When You’re Gone’ and ‘2012’ to club-oriented cuts such as ‘Let It Rip’ and ‘Own Game’. As the name says, this EP will make fans ‘Press Play’ in an instant and repeat the process to prolong the magic of this fourteen-track melodic journey.
“For me, this was more of a journey to show a different side of me with the different styles of music I’ve been doing,” Afrojack said. “I’ve been playing a lot of tracks with the new artists I signed to my label in my sets, so it made sense to put out all of the music fans have been hearing since Ultra this year on the EP. You’ll hear familiar and unfamiliar sounds with some great artists and I can’t wait for the fans to hear it all.
Named the #8 DJ in the world by DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll (his seventh consecutive year of appearing in the Top 10) and slated to continue that tradition through this year’s voting, Afrojack is one of the most popular dance music acts of today and a sought-after producer who’s won a Grammy for his and David Guetta’s remix of Madonna’s ‘Revolver’ and worked with everyone from Pitbull to Sting and Chris Brown. Coming from a two-year period that saw him drop an array of hits such as ‘Bad Company’ with Dirtcaps, ‘Helium’ with David Guetta and Sia, and a remix of U2’s iconic ‘Get Out Of Your Own Way’, Afrojack continues to bend genres as a musician with an admirable work ethic, huge output and peerless sense of what makes a record erupt in music scenes across the globe. Add to that the gamut of top-tier festivals he wrecks the mainstages of and you know Afrojack is in it to win it whenever he drops a new crowd favorite, let alone an entire fourteen-track EP.

 [item value="10"]Afrojack - Press Play[/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Afrojack continues to impress with his worldwide hits and his album Press Play is jam packed with prime time material that any DJ or fan of big dancing beats will adore straight away. The album includes big room, dubstep, and electro house tracks that will keep dancefloors and car players pretty busy. Bringin it back is a powerful mixture of heavy dubstep beats, electronic melodies, big synthy hooks, clever vocal samples and rough distorted basslines. Let It Rip is banging booming groovy electro house with sharp basslines, stomping drums, strong vocals and playful melodies. Step Back is powerful to the bone like leaving unattended a massive bulldozer on the dancefloor without breaks to stop it. Own Game is an excessive big room monster with piano melody and pitched up vocal while the drop is big fat and ferocious to the max. Another Level makes use of robotic vocals while the drop is packed with distorted crazy basslines, heavy drums and razor sharp synths to cut you deep. When you're gone is more ladies friendly track with playful pizzicato style melody in the drop while the singing in the breakdown is smooth and romantic with piano melody to die for. One More Day is included on the fat future house meets big room and in your head Nicky Romero version that festival crowds super adore and they love to clap and jump along. Time is an excellent rave friendly track with rough stomping beats, smashing wonky basslines, cool vocal samples and very nice breakdown with trancy synthy melody perfect for time travel. 2012 is what festival big room sound is about. In your face no holes barred rough beats with harddance infusions to it. Very sweet breakdown followed by thunderous climax perfect to blow your whistles. Bassride as the track suggests is an unstoppable rough electro house smasher that relentlessly builds and keeps the audience bumping along and riding the bass. My City includes distorted vocals upon the wonky distorted basslines while the breakdown includes trap and dubstep sequences. Put It Down is dubstep with attitude that means fat, fast, furious, unconventional and outrageously gorgeous including an old school drum n bass sequence. Flawless Victory combines big synths, danceable dubstep beats and heavy bass while the drop goes the hard dance direction. Finally Pop That is raging, menacing, trap with heavy swinging rough beats while in the second part big epic synth is added to close the album in style. Afrojack service an album that represents what he plays in his sets without the pressure of delivering a worldwide hit. This is Afrojack back to his roots.[/content]

A beloved ballad from Above & Beyond’s #3 Billboard Charting ‘Common Ground’, ‘Always’ (feat. Zoë Johnston) receives two contrasting reworks.

A prolific touring and production duo, Los Angeles producers SLANDER make their debut on Anjunabeats. With an eclectic catalogue including bass and trap releases on the likes of Monstercat and Mad Decent, Derek and Scott have built a loyal fan base with their heartfelt releases.

Anjuandeep’s go-to-guy for spaced out melodic house and techno, Eric Luttrell takes things in a deeper direction. Finding support from the likes of Annie Mac, Pete Tong and Sirius XM Chill with his latest ‘Intergalactic Plastic’ EP, his ‘Always’ rework is a suitably hypnotic affair, honed on the road while supporting Above & Beyond on the North American leg of their ‘Common Ground’ tour.

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Funkagenda pres. DGTVL & JVMIE provide on Magik Muzik the stunning and truly rocking High When I'm Sober. The track comes in two very interesting flavours. The original is superb melodic big room progressive banger with very strong memorable vocals and massive uplifting synths. Au5 remix is quite good attempt to sound dubstep. It has definitely the dubstep sound but the execution is not as powerful as someone would expect from it. Definitely more experimental and more abstract without too much bass distortion and it doesn't sound so rough and aggressive as dubstep and bass music sounds so you can even play it on chill out / electronica sets. Check it out!.   [/content]

After last month’s wonderful and above all soulful edition with Swiss electronic music guru Pablo Nouvelle, the next instalment of ‘Armada Invites’ shifts back to the other end of the electronic music spectrum, with a full, all-event-long Facebook livestream to keep fans around the world on the edge of their seats. In conjunction with Dirtcaps’ KLASH Records, ‘Armada Invites’ not only brings the ripping sounds of Dubstep into the equation, but also serves as a showcase for KLASH’s third ‘Dime Pieces’ compilation, which saw its release today.

Helmed by Dirtcaps, the lineup for ‘Armada Invites: KLASH Records’ featured no less than six artists who are eager to tear up Armada Music’s in-office club with their ear-splitting sounds. Among them are Reebs and Sebastian Bronk, both of whom have contributed to an earlier installment of KLASH’s ‘Dime Pieces’ compilation series with their floor-cracking approach to electronic music. The remaining spots in the lineup are taken up by RayRay, SLVR and Teknoclash, who are sure to drive it all into overdrive as they turn up the heat even further with their sonic, smack-in-the-face outbursts.

Defining the theme for this ‘Armada Invites’ experience, ‘KLASH: Dime Pieces III’ picks up where the madness of its two precursors left off. The compilation features twelve ferocious tracks from the scene’s brightest talents, including a collaboration between Dirtcaps and Late. All in all, this compilation will prove essential dancefloor material during this edition of ‘Armada Invites’, with the distinct KLASH trademark stamped all over it.

‘Armada Invites’ is a recurring event in Armada Music’s own in-office club in Amsterdam, comprising exclusive showcases from some of the biggest and most talented artists in the world. The event reaches a worldwide audience through its livestream on Armada Music's Facebook page. World-renowned artists such as Armin van Buuren, Borgore, Cedric Gervais, Eelke Kleijn, Erick Morillo, Gareth Emery, Kevin Saunderson, Lost Frequencies and NERVO already served as headliners in previous editions of ‘Armada Invites’.

Seven Lions returns for his second release of 2018 with 'Ocean', a project with Anjunabeats standout Jason Ross.

'Ocean'- features Jonathan Mendelsohn on vocals, and is a step closer towards the sonic landscape found on Above & Beyond's iconic dance imprint. Huge swells and lengthy builds are full of Ross' filmic textures, aptly juxtaposing the melodic, bassy growl of Seven Lions.

'Ocean' is the second release on Seven Lions' own independent label, Ophelia. The collaboration with Jason Ross marks the first collaborative project on the imprint, and also one of the rare producer collaborations in Seven Lions' career (the last one being the seminal 'Rush Over Me' with Illenium and Said the Sky).

[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]When Seven Lions and Jason Ross collaborate the result can only be extremely impressive. Two great tracks with totally different angle and sound.  The Ocean features the stunning vocals by Jonathan who always manage to grace with his voice any superb lyrics he performs with his very deeply touching voice. If you add on this the dubstep emotional sounds that create truly cinematic experience then you feel tripping out deep in the Oceans. The Sirens on the other hand is an explosive mixture of psy trance with dubstep to melt into one two very popular styles in USA. Cinematic atmosphere along with razor sharp basslines, thumping grooves and brilliant dubstep breakdown with breaks, synths and strings to create an intense journey that seems to win the hearts and minds even if you don't feel affiliated with both genres of psy and dubstep. Two unique and glowing tracks that break boundaries and move forward! #PureGold Love IT[/content]

[item value="10"]Shane 54 and Jonathan Mendelsohn - Return To Love (Incl Remixes) [/item]
[content title="Summary" label="Overall Score"]Armind always delivers memorable anthems like Return To Love from the hands of Shane 54 featuring the beloved Jonathan. The original and Cubicore remix moves on the same electro big room proglifting trance direction with pulsating basslines, punchy drums and feel good uplifting drop to turn any dancefloor into a moment of mayhem and joy with Above & Beyond influences for sure. The lyrics are bittersweet and Jonathan can convey well this in his on the spot performance. Colorful synths will turn the night into day for sure. Lastly the suprising Medii x BEAUZ version turn the original into a trap/dubstep hybrid that focuses on vocals to sing a long, nice melodies, playful voice effects and thunderous drop. #PureGold Love IT[/content]

Since the release of ‘KLASH: Dime Pieces’ at the end of March this year, fans have been eager to see what direction the sound of Dirtcaps’ KLASH label would go in. Today, they’ve gotten the highly-anticipated answer to their question as Dirtcaps dropped the second edition of the series: ‘KLASH DIME PIECES II’.

Where the very first installment of Dirtcaps’ ‘KLASH: Dime Pieces’ series was the first step towards the musical direction of their KLASH label, ‘KLASH: Dime Pieces II’ sees seventeen tracks from the biggest talents build on that sound and feeling. Packed with cuts from Dirtcaps & Reebs, Greg Dela, Jegers & Killmod3, Luza Rezza, Red Hood Squad, Treeko and more, this second edition of the series not only offers fifteen exclusive records, but also shows that Dirtcaps value the quality of music above all else.
“Even before we released the first 'Dime Pieces' compilation album, we knew our goal was to turn this into a long-running series”, Dirtcaps explain. “Releasing such a compilation twice a year fits the label's long-term vision: to release high-quality music whenever we feel it has to be heard, no matter its creators’ status or social following. With 'Dime Pieces II', we feel that we've been able to build on the sound and feeling of our label and we can proudly say that we’ve seen lots of amazing talents grow as both artists an music industry professional while working on their contributions to this compilation.”

Then this top compilation by Dirtcaps will do the bussiness right and will set any party on fire. From electro house to future house and bass house with heavy dubstep and trap infusions this is strictly headbanging music to press play and have the time of your life with your friends. What is the problem though is that maybe 17 tracks will not be enough so get ready to press the repeat button again and again.
