Just two days before he kicks off of his five-show summer residency on Sunday’s at Ushuaïa Ibiza, Armin van Buuren has released the tenth Ibiza-themed instalment of his globally acclaimed A State of Trance mix album series. This tenth edition continues the tradition of the three-part mix series, capturing the electrifying spirit of the White Isle and bringing it to listeners around the world.
 
‘A State of Trance Ibiza 2024 (Mixed by Armin van Buuren)’ is a three-part journey through Ibiza's diverse soundscape. Divided into On The Beach, In The Club, and Who’s Afraid Of 138?!, the mix album captures the essence of the island’s music scene, soundtracking the serene shorelines and breathtaking sunsets, as well as the exhilarating nightlife. Featuring forty-two tracks, it includes contributions from renowned artists such as Agents Of Time, Aly & Fila, David Forbes, Gabry Ponte, Heløwed, Joris Voorn, KI/KI, and Mauro Picotto.

“I've been a huge fan of Ibiza for many years, and I know the island inside and out, but I still find new ways to fall in love with it all over again,” says Armin van Buuren. “It's not just a hotspot for new music, but also a place where people create unforgettable moments and lifelong friendships. Celebrating ten years of Ibiza-themed albums is incredible. There are a lot of new songs on there that I've only played in my sets so far. It feels good to get it out right before my residency starts. I hope you love it!”
The release comes in tandem with Armin van Buuren's announcement on his globally syndicated A State of Trance radio show that the iconic namesake festival will return to Rotterdam in 2025 for its 21st edition on Friday, February 21, and Saturday, February 22. Following a groundbreaking 2-day debut in Rotterdam last year, van Buuren is bringing A State of Trance back to the city in partnership with Insomniac Europe. This year’s edition will feature multiple stages, a dynamic lineup of artists, an epic back-to-back 5-hour show on Friday, and the fan-favorite A State of Trance Hotel.

Following the release of Armin van Buuren’s take on Human Resource – ‘Dominator’, the second single of his forthcoming ‘Old Skool’ mini album sees the light of day. Armin van Buuren vs The Ultimate Seduction – ‘The Ultimate Seduction’ is a timeless classic turned current favorite and has been released on Amsterdam-based record company Armada Music. 

Originally forged by Dutch dance music group The Ultimate Seduction in 1992, ‘The Ultimate Seduction’ was a huge hit in The Netherlands back in the days. Armin van Buuren made his own version of the track to play throughout his ‘Armin Only Embrace’ world tour alongside his renditions of dance classics ‘Dominator’ (by Human Resource), ‘Pull Over’ (by Speedy J), ‘Quadrophonia’ (by Quadrophonia), and more. All of these tracks are featured on the ‘Old Skool’ mini album, which is to be released on August 4th.

Mickey McLaughlin And Marty Smith a.k.a Mike Lockin & Mart De Schmidt hail from Derry/Londonderry in Northern Ireland, they started out producing music together in 2011, Mike Lockin a DJ and Mart De Schmidt a music producer both shared a vision of combining both their musical styles and preferences to create something of top quality and a unique style of music.

For "Don't Say a Word" they teamed up with the talented Claire Willis and her beautiful voice is a great addition to this track. Don't say a word! Just listen to this beautiful song, remixed by these great DJ's!
