Perenna (Japanese: ペルペトア Perpetua) is a playable character in Fire Emblem Shadows. Though she poses as a professor at Notia's academy, giving out missions to the Monster Watch, she is actually tasked with tracking down and eliminating all remaining members of Notia's original royal family on the current king's orders.

Biography

Perenna initially appears to be simply a professor at the academy, she is a person of importance sent by the new king in order to weed out and kill members of the old royal family. She investigated Rusty's background and discovered that he is the last living heir after torturing one of Rusty's former mercenary comrades. In order to dispose of him, she hatched a scheme together with the royal knight Eugene to lure Rusty into the labyrinth, so that he may retrieve the Sovereign Axe before his death, and then ambush and kill him.

However, this plan was sent awry by the students Ananke, a secret disciple of shadow, and Hanya, the current princess and Eugene's liege, inviting themselves to the mission. Perenna's surprise attack on Rusty fails, hitting Ananke instead.

Perenna was made available as a playable disciple on July 15th. 3 Souls are available by reaching story level 22 in both sides of the story of Book 3. Six additional souls were available as log-in rewards from July 15th to July 22, 2026. She first appears in Book 3, light Chapter 2: Forward, At Last. Her associated weapon is the Tutelage Tome.

Perenna seems to have a sadistic streak, as she takes joy in torture inflicted, and disregards the lives of those chosen to die as part of her scheme.
