Linen Cuirass (リネンキュラッサ, Rinen Kyurassa?), also known as Cuirass, is a recurring armor piece in the Final Fantasy series. It is often a low-ranked armor piece, and usually provides no special bonuses aside from its Defense bonus.

Final Fantasy IX
The Linen Cuirass is the second weakest heavy body armor that provides +10 Defense, +1 Magic level up bonus, and teaches Cover. It can used by Steiner and Freya. It can be bought in Lindblum (disc 1), Burmecia, Summit Station, and Treno for 800 gil and stolen from Black Waltz 3. It is used in synthesis to make the Gold Choker.
Final Fantasy XII
In the original PlayStation 2 version, the Linen Cuirass is a low-ranked heavy armor that requires 30 LP to use, and provides +13 Defense and +4 Strength. It can be bought from Rabanastre, and the Tomb of Raithwall for 1900 gil and drops from Wyvern (3% chance), and Bellwyvern (3% chance).
In the Zodiac versions, the Linen Cuirass provides 14 Defense, +4 Strength, and requires the Heavy Armor 3 license for 35 LP. It can be bought in Rabanastre, Bhujerba, Dalmasca Westersand, Nam-Yensa Sandsea, Tomb of Raithwall, and Balfonheim Port for 1,800 gil, found as a treasure in Ogir-Yensa Sandsea (Primary Tank Complex) or Trial Mode Stage 36 (with Diamond Armlet), and drops by Wyvern (3%) and Bellwyvern (Cerobi Steppe - 3% chance). It can be equipped by the Uhlan, Knight, Time Battlemage, and Foebreaker.

The linen cuirass is a low-ranked heavy body armor bought from chapter 1 for 600 gil in outfitters in castle towns. It provides a measly +20 HP. It is also a rare treasure at Sand Rat Sietch. Heavy-armor-wearing enemy units may spawn with it on levels 4 and 5.

Linen Cuirass is a level 22 light armor that raises HP by 872. It also raises Wall Rush Bravery Defense by 20%. It can be obtained by trading 4540 gil, a Chainmail and Ichthon Scales.
