Scott Rodenhizer was a developer that worked at Interplay Entertainment on Fallout as a clay modeler and on Fallout 2 as the head artist.
Career[edit]
For Interplay, Rodenhizer worked on creating clay sculptures for Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan Fury. Leonard Boyarsky attempted to sculpt the talking heads for Fallout but was only able to get the Vault 13 Overseer done. Rodenhizer was brought onto Fallout to create the other talking heads. He eventually left Interplay and move to San Francisco.[Dev 1]
Rodenhizer created a Flash development firm around 2005, and took a step back from 3D graphics work.[Dev 1] He worked at Alchemy3 as the senior art director and creative director from 2019 onward.[Ext 1][Ext 2]
Fallout Series[edit]
In the Vault Dweller's Survival Guide, Rodenhizer is credited as an artist, clay modeler, and for art in the manual itself. He created all of the talking heads apart from the overseer.[Dev 1]
For Fallout 2, Rodenhizer is credited with working on the scenery. cutscenes and Talking Heads.[Pub 1] According to Gary Platner, he designed the box cover helmet for Fallout 2.[Dev 2]
Rodenhizer mentioned that he was positioned to be the art lead for Van Buren, but left the company shortly after Fallout 2's release.[Dev 1]
