RobCo IndustriesTM was a multibillion-dollar robotics and software corporation founded by industrialist and technologist Mr. House.[2]
Background[edit]
Founded on June 25, 2042, House's company developed a wide range of robotic products including the Eyebot, Protectron, and Sentry Bot[2] as well as the Stealth Boy Model 3001 Personal Stealth Device.[3][4] RobCo invested in exhibits for the public, such as the joint RobCo/General Atomics exposition at the Museum of Technology in Washington, D.C.[5]
RobCo acquired REPCONN Aerospace after a year of buying shares from 2075 to 2076, despite the long-time CEO's efforts to stop the acquisition.[6][7][8][9] House utilized the newly acquired company for a weapons research program for Colonel Moretti of the US military, repurposing REPCONN's proprietary plasma rocket propulsion system.[10][11] H&H Tools Factory, part of the inheritance Anthony House had stolen from his brother Robert, was acquired by way of RobCo aggressive trading practices.[12]

“One of the most powerful computer and robotics corporations of the pre-War world, RobCo Industries was the brainchild of wunderkind Robert House. Although their key products were robots, the firm got their initial market share and massive capital from the Unified Operating System. These became the industry standard across global militaries and the industrial sector, pouring vast sums into the research and development that would eventually drive the engine of their robotics divisions.
Those robots included numerous military and security models, like the Protectron, Sentry Bot, Assaultron, and a variety of automated weapons turrets. Coupled with advanced iterations of their operating systems, and computers ranging from enormous mainframes to personal data pads, they dominated markets with a bewildering array of daughter companies, disguised divisions, and a labyrinthine corporate structure. - RobCo assisted in Vault 79's construction by adding military-grade defensive turret systems to the vault.[15] The Brotherhood of Steel Mojave chapter mentions RobCo vaults existing in the Mojave Desert.[16]
- The Semi-Autonomous Immobile Weapon Platform turret system was developed at the RobCo Research Center.[17][18]
- RobCo partnered with the Nuka-Cola Corporation and their Nuka-World amusement park, featuring the RobCo Battlezone as part of the grand opening of the Galactic Zone.
- The Deep Sleep project was an initiative with Arktos Pharma focused on an attempt to record biological sensory data from subjects in hibernation pods in zero-gravity conditions.[19]
- The company partnered with Atomic Mining Services and General Atomics International in the Watoga initiative, aiming to create a "city of the future."[20][21][22] RobCo logos can be seen on monorail cars throughout town, and street signs bear the company's name.
- In cooperation with General Atomics, Robco was contracted to collaborate on a combat robot known as Liberty Prime to liberate Anchorage, Alaska. General Chase publicly confirmed that the U.S. Army was working with General Atomics and RobCo to create the "superweapon meant to establish dominance of the United States on the Alaskan front."[23]

"The RobCo PIPBoy 2000 (hereafter called the PIPBoy), is a handy device that you wear on your wrist. It’s small, especially by today’s standards, and it will store a goodly amount of information for you. And using modern super-deluxe resolution graphics to boot!"
