Ranger Stella is an NCR Ranger captured by the Legion and being held prisoner at the Fort in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background

An NCR Ranger, Stella was captured alive by Caesar's Legion, which is considered to be a rarity. Otho notes that while she is a woman, she has "killed every man who's faced her in the arena" with her bare hands, including an elite Centurion. He adds that she is one of the "deadliest fighters" he has ever seen.

Gameplay

During the unmarked quest Laurifer Gladiator, Ranger Stella is the last opponent the Courier can face in the Legion Arena. She has a minimum Level of 15 and a maximum Level of 30, leveling with the player by multiplying the player's level by 1.3. She has the effects of several Perks:

• 3 ranks of Iron Fist, granting her +15 Unarmed damage.
• Paralyzing Palm; has no function on Stella, as it requires the use of V.A.T.S.
• Toughness, granting her +10% Damage Resistance.

Defeating her results in the player earning +4 positive Reputation points for Caesar's Legion. Otho and Legionaries will also comment on her defeat.

• Killing Stella with the Machete counts for the Gun Runners' Arsenal challenge Armed For Bear. A Machete is always equipped for the arena, so one will gain a point towards this challenge unless the Machete is unequipped.
