Request for input on sourcing and notability
editHi all, I raised sourcing and notability concerns on the article talk page two weeks ago but have not received any feedback. I would appreciate additional input regarding source independence, due weight, and whether the article demonstrates significant coverage sufficient for WP:BIO. Discussion here: Talk:Ekkehard Knobelspies ~2026-34384-66 (talk) 06:17, 12 June 2026 (UTC)
Possible to update a headshot?
editI'm trying to update the headshot for the Danny Rimer article. I already posted on the talk page but haven't received a response. Did I not format the request correctly?
I hope editors will agree that the current headshot does not meet the standard of an encyclopedia profile. It honestly looks like a snapshot from MySpace. I uploaded a new, forward-facing one here.
Could somebody help me with this? Is there another noticeboard I should post at? I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right. Kelsey at Index (talk) 10:34, 12 June 2026 (UTC)

Request for independent assessment: Martin Dougiamas (currently a redirect)
editI'm writing as the subject of this topic, with a declared conflict of interest (disclosed on my user page). I am not asking anyone to take my word for anything, and I won't be editing the article myself — I'm asking whether uninvolved editors think the available independent sourcing now supports a standalone biography, and if so, whether someone would be willing to assess it through WP:AFC.
Martin Dougiamas was converted to a redirect in 2020, when the article's sourcing was weak (largely self-published and primary). My understanding is that there was no formal AfD, so this is a question of whether a properly sourced article can now replace the redirect, not a deletion review.
What I think has changed is that there is now independent secondary coverage spanning a long period, rather than the thin sourcing of the old version. The most relevant items:
- Victoria Laurie, "Not your average tech bro: The boy from the bush behind a digital juggernaut," Good Weekend (Sydney Morning Herald / The Age), September 2025 — a long-form feature by a named senior journalist that includes independent third-party assessment (quoting Prof. Michael Sankey of ACODE and author Curtis J. Bonk). https://www.smh.com.au/national/not-your-average-tech-bro-the-boy-from-the-bush-behind-a-digital-juggernaut-20250807-p5ml97.html (paywalled, but paywalled sources are acceptable per WP:PAYWALL)
- Curtis J. Bonk, The World Is Open: How Web Technology Is Revolutionizing Education (Jossey-Bass, 2009) — independent academic author discussing the subject and Moodle by name. Publisher page: https://www.wiley.com/en-us/shop/general-introductory-education/the-world-is-open-how-web-technology-is-revolutionizing-education-p-9780470526736
- 2008 Google–O'Reilly Open Source Award ("Best Education Enabler") — Google's official Open Source blog: https://opensource.googleblog.com/2008/07/and-winners-of-2008-google-oreilly-open.html
- Australian of the Year — Western Australia finalist (2017 and 2024): https://australianoftheyear.org.au/recipients/dr-martin-dougiamas
I've compiled a fuller source list, sorted into what I believe does and doesn't count toward notability (I've tried to be conservative and flag the weak items as weak). I'm happy to post it here or share it however is most useful.
I recognise the obvious counter-argument — that much of the coverage is connected to Moodle, raising a notability-inherited-from-the-product question. I'd genuinely value an uninvolved editor's honest view on whether the personal coverage and my separate role founding the Open EdTech Association are enough to clear that bar, or whether it's still premature. Either answer is helpful to me. Thank you. Dougiamas (talk) 11:47, 13 June 2026 (UTC)

Request for assistance: Biography article for Lee Chesnut
editHello, I am reaching out to request assistance in drafting a Wikipedia article regarding my career in the music industry. As the subject of the article, I have a clear Conflict of Interest, and I am committed to following Wikipedia’s policies regarding neutrality and transparency. I have compiled a list of independent, reliable secondary sources that I believe satisfy the notability requirements for a music industry professional. I am not seeking to write this article myself, but rather to provide this research to an experienced editor who might be interested in verifying these sources and drafting a neutral, encyclopedic entry. Professional Milestones & Supporting Documentation: Radio Programming: Career highlights at WABB-FM, WAPW-FM, and WSTR-FM. Specifically, notable industry coverage exists regarding my role in breaking Chris Isaak’s "Wicked Game" (Reference: Wicked Game Wikipedia entry). Executive Production & Label Development: Early leadership roles at Republic Records, including Executive Producer credits for Lonnie Gordon ("Dirty Love") and A&R for Chumbawamba’s Tubthumper album. Industry Leadership: VP of Music Programming for VH1 (1994–1997) and VP of A&R at Epic Records, including the production of Donna Summer’s final Gold album, VH1 Presents: Live & More Encore. Contemporary Career: A&R Consultant for NBC’s The Voice (14 years). I have maintained a full disclosure of my background and potential COI on my user page, and I am happy to provide further primary links (Discogs, Billboard charts, etc.) if requested. My goal is simply to ensure that if a page is created, it is done so according to Wikipedia's standards for verifiability and neutral point of view. Are there any editors here who specialize in music industry biographies who might be willing to review this material? Thank you for your time and guidance.HSLB2001 (talk) 12:32, 26 June 2026 (UTC)

Request for article: Charlie Taylor (HM Chief Inspector of Prisons)
editCharlie Taylor, the current HM Chief Inspector of Prisons, appears not to have a biography article despite all previous holders of the office having one. He has also served as Chair of the Youth Justice Board and authored the Taylor Review of the youth justice system. There appears to be substantial independent coverage in national newspapers and other reliable sources. Would anyone be interested in assessing whether he meets the notability guideline and creating an article? KitTaylor36963 (talk) 14:41, 3 July 2026 (UTC)

Article request: Anna Campbell-Jones (presenter on BBC's Scotland's Home of the Year)
editHi everyone,
I would like to request/suggest an article for Anna Campbell-Jones, a Scottish interior designer and television presenter. She is best known as a main judge and presenter on the BBC Scotland series Scotland's Home of the Year (SHOTY), which has run for several series.
Disclosure: I have a professional relationship with the subject, but I am not being compensated for this specific request and I am not writing the article myself to strictly adhere to COI guidelines. I believe she meets the [General Notability Guideline] due to significant coverage in national Scottish press and the BBC.
I have compiled a list of reliable, independent sources to save time for any volunteer interested in starting this article:

Connor Murphy
editHe is a youtuber-bodybuilder who recently died in Thailand. He doesn't have an article, but there's been a few legitimate sources reporting on his death. I don't believe it is enough to warrant an article, since the reporting is only on one event. But perhaps there might be Netflix documentaries or something and his notability may rise over time to cover aspects of his life outside of his death. Below are the legit sources I can find reporting on this for future reference:
- CBC
- People
- USAToday
- Bangkok Post
- Thairath online (first reporting)

editHello. Dr. Rick Tarleton is a Distinguished Research Professor at UGA specializing in Chagas disease with an h-index of 73 and 18,000+ citations. He is currently a red-link (missing page) but clearly clears the NjPROF threshold. Would a volunteer be interested in starting his biography draft? ~2026-39137-94 (talk) 22:53, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
