hello ladies, i hope your thursday went well, mine did, a bit of drama in the morning with a side of bacon, but other than that, it went swell :)

PRIDE.....& Gay Shame

The Dyke March kicks off on Saturday, June 25th. I think that it's super important to be there. The Dyke March was started years & years ago as a protest to Pride because women were not be represented at Pride (I think it was started by the Lesbian Avengers). The Dyke March is not corporate sponsored and there are no floats. It is a visibility march that ends by the lake for a gathering.

Pride kicks off on Sunday, June 26th. Before you go this year...make sure you think about your options. The Chicago Anarchists & Queer to the Left are organizing a feeder march for Gay Shame. What is Gay Shame?? Queers-gays-lesbo-trannies-alis that are ashamed of what Pride has become. Back in the Stonewall days, Pride was a protest. Pride has now become a media saturated walking advertisement for corporate America. Plus, the women are barely represented (never mind the trannies & intersexed people). Corporate America has found this nitcsh of queers to do their advertising for them. So I urge you to look more into it and/or participate in Gay Shame.

I, for one, will be postering & fliering all of Boystown the night before the march...
