Another Person of Interest story
Oct. 21st, 2012 05:32 pmJust a little something I wrote for myself last night, as a bedtime story - shamelessly fluffy, and only slightly more romantic than the episode itself, I swear to God. They are being so good to us. Also, I've felt for ages that this fandom needed curtainfic, and this was the closest I could get.

Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Person of Interest (TV)
Rating: General Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: Harold Finch/John Reese
Summary: In which they don't get a beer. Coda to 2x03.
Incidentally, the culture of this fandom on AO3 seems to be for kudos to the exclusion of comments, which makes me a bit sad - I always enjoy getting the kudos in my mailbox, but this is my first time regularly writing fic in ages, and I've fallen so in love with this show that I'd love to have someone actually talk to me about it. But just the fact that I'm writing a bit is nice.

Date: 2012-10-21 07:16 pm (UTC)Season 2 has been all about the FEELINGS so far, and now I love that it took them this long, because it feels earned in way a typical "look! we have bromance!" relationship wouldn't. Finch's face while he's driving to the rescue...! I'm convinced that's why Carter lets them go, because the Guy in the Suit can't be all bad if someone cares about him that much.

Date: 2012-10-21 09:02 pm (UTC)You could say that Reese's inscrutability is partly because Jim Caviezel isn't that good of an actor, but he's been doing some quite subtle things as well as being Batman (that smile when Finch gives him the menu in the diner!). I think Reese is just really better at throwing people out of windows than feelings.
