Program Notes
Good Times was written to expand on learning to play in 7/8 time for younger bands. Instrument range and key signature are accessible so rhythmic challenges can be the instructional focus. Musical challenges include independent melodies in a polyphonic development section, as well as maintaining a carefree and lighter feel throughout most of the piece.
