Program Notes

This sparkling piece for developing bands is uniquely appealing. A single lilting woodwind ostinato is the foundation upon which a flowing melody and rich harmonies are layered. It's set in a vibrant 3/4 feel that is contrasted between the ostinato sections and colorful harmonic changes. The refreshing sounds are a departure from the norm.
