Frances, William's mother, apparently did not marry. William's DNA appears to match others with surname Park or Parks. From DNA and more research, it may be possible to figure out William's father. Refer to the Treece DNA Project at FamilyTreeDNA.
Where is William on the 1880 census?
In 1900, David appears in the census with his mother, Fannie Treece. Her birth year does not seem to match Frances E Treece (1849-1924).
William's social security claim gives his mother as Frankie Drummonds and her father as James M Treece. This information apparently conflicts with the current memorial [4].
The Fannie in the 1900 census could be Frankie Drummonds, just based on the birth year. Frankie Drummonds was the daughter of Stephen Drummonds and Mary Cupp. Frankie Drummonds was a cousin of Frances E Treece (1849-1924).
