Biography
Thomas Spring was born about 1670 in Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts.[1]
He married Elizabeth Train on 20 November 1701 in Watertown.[2] Their children were:
- Mary Spring (1702–?)[3]
- Elizabeth Spring (1705–?)[4]
- Thomas Spring (1708–?)[5]
- Henry Spring (1710–?)[6]
Thomas died after the end of 1709 (9 months prior to his son Henry's birth on 28 Jun 1710) and before his estate was inventoried for his widow Elizabeth on 26 Jul 1710.[7][8][1][9][10]
Research notes
Thomas Spring's birth was not recorded; however, he is mentioned in his father's will. He was likely born in Watertown, Massachusetts about 1668 based on his marriage date. He was the son of Henry Spring and Mehitable Bartlett. He married Elizabeth Traine on November 20, 1701. He died about 1710, most likely in Weston, Massachusetts.. He was often referred to as "Thomas Spring of the Farms". "The Farms" were a portion of Watertown that were later set off to form the town of Weston.
