Birth & Baptism

Amos Main (aka Maine) was born on Friday, 2 Sep 1735, to Jeremiah Main, Jr. and Abigail (Worden) Main in Stonington, Connecicut.^{[1][2][3][4][5]}

Marriage

Amos married Abigail (Brown) Maine in Stonington, 19 May 1756. The ceremony was performed by Elder Wait Palmer.^[1][2][4][5]

Death

Amos died 17 Aug 1815 in Stonington, and is buried at Old Settler's Cemetery, also known as Locke Cemetery, in Locke, Cayuga County, New York. ^[12]

Research Notes

• There is another child, Amos S. Main listed as their child, b. 25 Nov 1798, on FamilySearch, but he is not listed in The Descendants of Ezekiel Maine or in Genealogical Record of Nathaniel Babcock, Simeon Main, Isaac Miner, Ezekiel Main. I suspect he may be the son of the daughter, Abigail "Nabbe" (Main) Worden, (aka Brown, Babcock) because of the way her son Amos is listed. (see screenshot below).^[5][13]
