Army Senior Service College Fellowship

About SSCF

SSCF SealThe Army Senior Service College Fellowship is a 10-month senior-level educational and leadership development program sponsored by the Office of the Army Director, Acquisition Career Management. SSCF prepares selected senior Army civilians and military equivalents for strategic leadership across the Army Acquisition Enterprise, including service as Capability Program Executives, Portfolio Acquisition Executives, senior program and portfolio leaders, and other key acquisition leadership positions.

SSCF is conducted through the Redstone Arsenal Seminar and the Virtual Seminar and remains the Army’s only civilian fellowship approved as Senior Service College equivalent. The program received Senior Service College equivalency from the Army G-3/5/7 on 28 March 2013.

The SSCF curriculum develops strategic civilian leaders through three enduring pillars: Leadership, Acquisition, and National Security Strategy. Fellows engage in graduate studies, strategic research, PMT 4010, national security policy and strategy, industry and military engagements, mentoring, distinguished guest practitioner sessions, book reviews, and applied leadership development.

Aligned with Army and Department of War acquisition transformation, SSCF prepares Fellows to lead in a portfolio-centered acquisition environment focused on speed, rigor, accountability, industrial base capacity, data-informed decisions, and delivery of warfighting capability at scale.

Mission & Vision

Mission: Develop strategic civilian acquisition leaders who can think critically, lead with character, integrate national security strategy with portfolio-centered acquisition execution, and deliver effective warfighting capability in support of Army and Department of War priorities.

Vision: The Army’s premier civilian senior leader development program for preparing acquisition leaders to lead portfolios, strengthen the industrial base, and deliver warfighting capability at speed and scale.
