fertility monitor

Hey ladies. I've posted in here a few times about adoption and fertility monitors. I bought one last fall (!) but we had a foster boy come to us in December and we've been too busy to try. Besides, my period was SOOO screwed up because of the prednisone I was on from Sept-Dec (for 2 autoimmune conditions).

Well, we finally got around to using it. Guess what?! The first time we used it... it worked! I'm six weeks preggo!!! We've been trying for 3.5 years to get pregnant. No gyno knew why we weren't getting pregnant. Never did specialists... just went the adoption route (which, btw, will be happening for our foster boy this summer). But one use (well, I peed 10 times on sticks) of this little computer told us EXACTLY when to try and it totally worked. TONS better than those ovulation tests sold at Walmart.

Ultimately, I know that God's hand was in this conception, in every conception (or lack thereof). I know he guided us to this monitor and helped it happen. I just wanted to let you know of this monitor just in case it may work for you too.

Blessings to all who are TTC. I had my first boy 8 years ago and have been aching for another since then. Don't give up hope. Open as many doors as you can. It will happen, somehow. :)

Hello - I am new to the group, thought I should do an introduction. I have been married for 6 years (7 yrs in Feb). We have been trying to concieve via fertillity treatments for the past 2 years and recently decided Heavenly Father has different plans on how our children will come into the world. We completed our homestudy for adoption through LDS Family Services last month and are now preparing for our final agency interview next Friday. Hopefully all will go well and we will be able to move forward with having potential birth parents look at our profile.
I have really enjoyed the past 6 years with my husband. We are truelly best friends and have grown closer together through our infertillity struggles. I am looking forward to communicating with members of this group.

clear-blue/clear-plan fertility monitor

Has anyone used a fertility monitor yet? I have read some about it and it looks like it is worth the money ($200 new/$125 ebay). I especially liked reading people's comments about this monitor at epinions.com --> very interesting and hopeful. We've been married three years and had the standard fertility tests done with no results as to why we arn't getting pregnant. We could do more if we had the money and if we could DO something with those results (which would cost MORE money). Mainly, the irregular periods are the biggest holdup to us because we are not SURE when I am the most fertile. We hope the fertility monitor will help with that.

Anyone heard about this or tried it before?

help us find her!

Hey ya'll! How are you doing?

No news for us yet. Still waiting and hoping a child will come into our lives again sometime soon. Foster care is still an option but no call has come. Getting preggo COULD happen but not really focusing on it. Adoption leads have been slow as of late. I need to keep telling others and putting our plea for help out there... so here I am! Nothing works as well as word of mouth, except prayer. :)

We've made an online card to "pass around" to friends and family, like online email referrals. This would be the best way to tell someone else about us.

Warning to parents!!!

I get on a message board about parenting and pregnancy and stuff and there is a girl on there (Dawne) who got an email from one of her friends saying that there was a picture of a little boy in the Pottery Barn catalog who looks just like Dawne's boy. She sent her a scan of the magazine and it IS Dawne's boy and it's Dawne's picture - one she had posted on her website. She was shocked, obviously as she had not sent this picture in or in any way submitted it. She's contacting the company, and hopefully she will push this so that they don't do this to any other children. It's ridiculous. Anyway - just a warning to parents to be careful about posting pictures publically - even on your own website.

x-posted a couple other places!

So... this is really weird, but do lymph nodes have anything to do with being pregnant, that any of you know of? I have this swollen lymph node in my armpit and I went to the Dr. today and he said that it may be an infection, or something of that nature... and then at the end, he threw in, "oh and it might have something to do with pregnancy if you are or might be pregnant." So, I have no idea what to think now and I don't know if I am ready to go to the store and get a test just yet. I am just kinda curious because I have never heard anything like this before. Hmmm....

all about me...

..in a short introductory post? Yeah right! Ya'll know there is more behind the few words that get splashed around in posts. I am just excited to be here among fellow future moms (to a baby!). I know I cannot convey the emotional side of myself that would do my infertility experience justice but God knows, my husband tries, and that is all that matters. It'll be nice to have friends that go through similar things though. It is like we ALREADY have a special bond!

Currently, we are into foster care and adoption. Being poor college students (one year left of graduate school!) the money from foster care helps and $4,000 through LDS Family Services for adoption is an avenue we can afford. We had a foster baby with us for about 10 weeks during the summer but he left about a month ago. :( SO HARD!! We are now concentrating on getting our adoption profile out there and praying that a birth mother will be guided to us. I'll post that more information on that later.

Well, that's me! I look forward to talking with ya'll. Wendy - out.

HA *S*S* well it seems that after this last cycle, the use of shots AND clomid together DID Help push my ovulation back 2 days!!!! *S*S*S* *Happy dance* This is what the DR was hoping for!!! WE are hoping this continues!!!

He wants me to take a month off now to let my ovary rest since it was over stimulated a bit.. and he feels it wouldn't hurt to take sometime off wouldn't hurt :)

He said to just see how it works this next time we want to try.... he said to start off with the 50 mg of clomid... NOW if the ovulation date doesn't hold.. then we will have to go with the 100 mg and the shot. He just doesn't want to over stimulate the ovary (especially with my cysts there)

This is what we were wanting to hear *S*S*S*S* yeah!!

Hi. I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself to you. Hubby and I just celebrated our two year wedding anniversary July 19th. I've been off BCP 6 months now and we have not been preventing the baby making thing if you know what I mean. I've spent this time charting, reading TCOYF, and other things like starting a new job. Taking a new job has reduced my stress levels immensely which I'm hoping will help us conceive.
I'm a little concerned that opportunity has been there many months and we've timed BD'd not for conception but it's happened right during that fertile window and we have not had a positive. We are going to "actively" TTC my next cycle which is exciting.
I'm at a point in my life where it seems everyone is pregnant, already has children abounding, etc... and I'm so ready for my time.
I look forward to meeting you all.
Cheers!
Sassy
