Can we for real talk about factive hate? No one is claiming to be the individuals they’re based on, at least in our system. We view them very much along the same lines of fictives- Based on the personas celebrities have made for themselves. We have several factives in our system who are exhausted of hiding from being themselves on our blog.
Can there be ethical dilemmas surrounding factives? Absolutely. But the thing is you can’t just knee-jerk-reaction judge every case as the same because you met one system that has problematic factives.
One of the strange things of getting/being a factive of someone We know from social media is that chances are the factive in question internally looks like their source's profile picture. Which might be some random character. Making the factive in question technically also a fictive but not really in the traditional sense.
Yes I look exactly like Character from Media. No I am not Character. Any similarities between myself and this fictional story is pure coincidence. Yadda yadda. It's such a weird feeling lol
