Like I’m just imagining they have no idea how courting and flirting even works so they just pull out however feels right. Tapping faces like turtles, circling like hedgehogs and bumping their forehead against someone like a cat wanting attention. They just don’t know how to exist

They were essentially trained into having the ‘faun’ response when authorities demanded obedience. Just make yourself small and compliant so it goes away. Don’t make them mad just be quiet.

Also I imagine Mercer hated how na’vi they were just by existing. I imagine na’vi purr and have a lot of cat like behaviours so they were borderline clicker trained to not respond. Many na’vi found their body language uncanny because their tails stayed so still and ears didn’t twitch to follow sound like theirs did-even their eyes were sorta…empty? Like glazed over almost.

You ever think about just how desirable Tamtey is? Like the amount of skills they have plus how they provide for the clans must make them such a sought after mate

They hunt, fight, weave, craft and paint (body paints plus the mural side quest) not to mention all the quests they go on to help the clans and their members? Bringing peace to a Aranahe in his final days and singing to him/opening the kinglor flowers and letting hometree strengthn, fighting to avenge a killed Zakru, bringing a clan’s greatest shame to light and allowing them to find the truth and heal?

Not to mention Tamtey is borderline Olo’eykte/Olo’eytan of their clan-they have a high standing position and they actively bring clans together like how their respected and beloved ancestors did? Upholding these values and traditions? Yes ma’am

This na’vi who comes out of nowhere and is making leaps and bounds to fight off the sky people and help the land heal from their poisons, who helps countless members of your clan etc. you cannot tell me every grandparent and parent isn’t trying to set up their kid with Tamtey whenever they stop by the clan

HEAR ME OUT: Pregnant Tamtey who gets VERY protective of her belly. She is hissing at literally everyone who looks at her wrong or gets too close for her liking. Even So’lek/her mate might be on the receiving end.

The sluttiest thing Azriel has ever done is be handed a perfectly good escape route by Gwyn and go, “No actually, I’ll stay and chat” like he’s not biologically wired to avoid conversation.

It’s actually scandalous, tbh.

The heart of this piece is of Azriel and Gwyn as equals on the battlefield: Both Carynthian, one an Illyrian the other a Valkyrie, who fight along each other, who have always put their lives on the line for others, but this time they’re also fighting for each other and they share a moment between them before jumping back in. Ashley captured that dynamic so beautifully, the power, the trust, the connection. The battle scene is absolutely stunning, full of motion and intensity, and the attention to detail is just incredible. Gwyn looks radiant and fierce, Azriel looks impossibly handsome, and together they are simply perfect. I hope we get to see these two in battle one day in future books. I can’t wait to see how their magic will come together. 🥹
