the way she says “where” does unspeakable unimaginable unholy things to me
Anyone else notice how the big tarsyu plants whisper when you stand close to them? I have more than 200 hours in the game and only just found out! It lowkey freaked me out! Anyone know what the voices are saying?
almost at the end I'm sure I heard "Za'u" - which means "Come" (kinda spooky tbh?!) anyone hearing anything else?
Idk why but I can't stop thinking about little Teylan in TAP absolutely kicking ass in Just Dance when they had free time to themselves. TAP giving the Sarentu kids human child entertainment and Teylan absolutely eating that shit up
a little bit obsessed with my own Sarentu, but just a little bit!
this is Tìkewa te Kelutire Nefayu’ite, i spent far too long looking at the etymology of my name and finding Na’vi words of the same/similar meaning to derive her name hehe. she likes human music and trying to befriend animals that probably would rather kill her :)
I keep picturing Íley flirting like toothless does in httyd3. Lookin straight up goofy and stupid. The visions won’t stop guys.
This one :
And now I’m picturing So’lek in Hiccups place giving a thumbs up.
Imma do something with this later I’m sure.
Hilarious😂
Sa'ata: "Neytiri?"
Sa'ata: "NEYTIRI 😱"
I feel as though a very attractive trait for the Sarentu is the size of their ears and the length of their songcord,
The wider and bigger the ears, the more a Sarentu can listen with patience and understanding, like they can funnel in any sound and remember it with perfect clarity once to be shared at the Moot,
And the Sarentu pride themselves on how many beads are in their songcord; it sings to others the hardships and achievements they’ve experienced to achieve such a long, beautiful, and colorful waytelem, it also tells other Na’vi how many clans that Sarentu has traveled to and lived in.
The old Sarentu has so much potential to be so important to both franchises of Avatar, I get so giddy seeing people create their own stories of the Sarentu…
sotey dealing with a language barrier!
so i’ve been thinking, you know how it’s implied that in the movies everyone is speaking na’vi, and we hear it in english because jake understands it now? yes? okay!
so i’m thinking what if this is kind of the same with tamtey, obviously so’lek and other na’vi have learned english but you know with growing up in tap they probably weren’t able to speak in na’vi.
so when tamtey gets out and she’s around other na’vi she’s trying her best to keep up with the conversations but she’s struggling, of course so’lek notices, so every now and then he’ll tap her shoulder or brush against her arm and whisper whatever she needs translated into english.
just imagine her face lighting up and a bright smile directed to so’lek as a thank you! i just find this so sweet!
i’m also remembering the scene from secret of the spires when she’s talking to zat, (the ke’awa kame’tire cook), and he mentions the blade-wing moth and he gets a little frustrated when she says blade-wing moth and not reyknap! please tell me y’all see the vision 😔
Fanfic Readers: hey, so I made you a drawing based on your fic. Sorry, it looks weird…
Fanfic writers:
Metalhead So'lek 🖤
been busy drawing something personal so here's a quick sketch
(人*´∀`)。*゚+
realistically if he listened to human music he'd prob prefer something soothing like Sade
HMO:
Tamtey has just finished a raid on an RDA base. They’re sitting alone on the edge of a stream washing off the blood and paint. So’lek walks up behind them and everything is silent for several moments. Then, Tamtey asks him if their mother would still love them if she knew what they had become. The Sarentu were diplomats, peacekeepers. Tamtey has taken more lives than they can count and knows more about violence than inter clan politics. How could their mother look at them now and love them?
