It is the time when the universe says that abundance is with us, we just need to be grateful for the things we currently have in our lives. The universe wants us to appreciate what it has already given us before we can ask for more.
The full moon in Taurus is all about being secure with yourself and knowing that your manifestations are on their way. We could feel more isolated from who we are or we could be feeling more isolated from our emotional environment. It can also be a time when we struggle to reconcile the inner wild person alongside the mysterious mask we put on ourselves to hide our true passions. Goddesses Associated with the Full Moon in Taurus:
⏾ Demeter: the Greek Goddess of agriculture, harvest, grain, bread, the seasons, fertility, the earth, sacred law, and the cycle of life and death. She was believed to have taught humans how to cultivate and reap their harvests. Demeter and Zeus had a daughter named Persephone, the Goddess of spring and Queen of the Underworld, and both mother and daughter are famously known for the myth of Demeter and Persephone.
Demeter’s myth and role in mythology points to the abundance and harvest that comes from tending to the earth and working with your material resources. She also points to the changing of the seasons, and as we approach winter and it’s starting to get darker earlier now, some of us are dealing with more grief or depression from the dark and the cold. It’s a time when we need to nurture ourselves and tend to ourselves. Sometimes, it might also mean neglecting certain responsibilities or duties, such as those around the holidays, because we need to honor and cope with our own grief and pain. It’s good to be open and honest about that and to set boundaries when necessary. Demeter refused to tend to her duties until Persephone was returned to her. Although we can’t do that with our own grief when it comes to getting the person we lost back, we can do that when it comes to taking on less, asking for help, and easing your responsibilities until you can recover and heal. This full moon in sidereal Taurus, Demeter asks us to honor our own needs and grief. Seasons change and so do our lives, and the people within it, and it’s okay to pay tribute to that.
⏾ Gaia: the Greek Goddess of the earth personified, the Mother of all life, and a primordial, elemental Goddess. She is the great mother of all creation. She is considered to be the supreme Goddess by both the mortals and the immortals alike. The heavenly gods were descended from her — from her union with Ouranos, the sky god, and the sea creature from her union with Pontos, the sea god, the Gigantes (Giants) from her union with the Titans — were borne from her. Mortal creatures were also descended from her earthly flesh.
With the full moon in sidereal Taurus, Gaia represents the cycle of the earth and the turning of the seasons. She also represents the importance of standing with your community and friends and defending them at all costs. She represents the nurturing and compassionate qualities of the earth and the motherly qualities of nature. She also represents the stability and security that comes with connecting with nature and the environment. She also showcases the loyalty and commitment that the earth has towards the marginalized and oppressed individuals. The earth always sides with those that have been the most discriminated and marginalized against. The earth also sides with growth and empathy for others and showcases the importance of taking care of our natural environment and those around us.
