I feel like I should write an about me and introduce myself a bit on here for long-time followers and any new people.

you can call me Starwoman or Rhiannon. i’m a kenyan-american poet and writer who loves music (rock, alternative, punk, post-punk/new wave, psychedelic rock, indie, rap, hip-hop, soul, disco, folk rock, classical, old country, oldies, and some others) and outer space. I’m also really into Greek, Egyptian, and Kenyan mythology & I practice Hellenic polytheism/paganism.

i’m 25 years old & i’m a sidereal Pisces sun and moon, and a Leo rising. in Vedic, I’m a Revati sun and moon, and Magha rising. I’m really into astrology as well, and I mostly focus on sidereal and Vedic astrology because I feel like it’s more accurate to me & my life.

i’m also autistic and I have adhd, and I post a lot about that on here, so if you don’t like that, you can get off. I also post a lot about my special interests and hyperfixations, and I basically see this blog as being dedicated to that + aesthetic stuff + poetry stuff.

I use the tag #autizzy sometimes to talk about my experience as a Black autistic person. I just wanted to make it clear that that term is created by and ONLY FOR Black autistic people.

I also struggle with other disorders such as C-PTSD, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety (and I’m sure there are other things that I might not even know about). I post about that on here and I’m a big proponent of mental health awareness and support for all people who suffer with an mental illness or disability regardless of what their mental illness or disability is.

I’m also currently a college student (cries). I got my bachelors degree in social work, and now I’m pursuing my masters degree in it. I also work full-time, so I need to be able to manage school and work successfully, so there will be times when I won’t be on here as much due to that.

I’m a Hekate, Isis, Nyx, Persephone, Freyja, Lilith, La Santa Muerte devotee, and I also worship Dionysus, Apollo, Hermes and the rest of the Theoi. I’m also interested in learning more about kemetic paganism and other forms of paganism, and I want to connect with Inanna and Aphrodite. I also practice witchcraft and mostly focus on cosmic/lunar witchcraft while trying to incorporate other forms like herbal/plant magic, kitchen witchcraft, pop culture witchcraft, etc. I also practice tarot and I consider myself to be very spiritual and devoted to the Theoi, and specifically to Nyx and Hekate. I have a very deep connection with the both of them and I’ve always felt that way since I first started learning about them and about Greek mythology.

Everyday Protection Spells and Rituals 101 + Songs to Protect your Peace

Protection spells and rituals are geared towards protecting your energy, yourself, your environment, and what’s important to you. Protection spells are meant to guard your energy and space.

Protection spells are the best spells to utilize and begin practicing when you first start witchcraft, as protection is the most fundamental and important basis of any type of spiritual or witchcraft work, as these practices can potentially expose you to other energies that aren’t always benevolent and that have negative intentions towards you or your space.

Protection spells are also useful for the everyday person who doesn’t commonly utilize witchcraft as ANYONE be susceptible to negative energy or entities, and it’s good to know how to guard your energy against that.

Here are everyday protection rituals and spells that I recommend utilizing in order to preserve and protect your energy and well-being:

𖤓 Wear black as black is a protective color and black blocks away any negative energy

𖤓 Burn a black candle (specifically on Saturn day, Saturday, and Mars day, Tuesday) and speak a protection affirmation over it as it burns, such as, “my energy is protected,” and “I am safe and protected at all times.”

𖤓 Speak protection affirmations over yourself each day or whenever you leave the house, such as “I’m divinely protected and guided,” and “my spirit and energy is always protected and no weapon formed against me shall prosper.”

𖤓 Speak protection prayers over yourself each morning or before you leave your house, such as, “I send back any negativity that has been sent to destroy me and anything attached to me. This is not my energy. I command my obstacles to be removed or cleared from my paths. Protect my head and cleanse my energy. Asè.”

𖤓 Sprinkle salt and/or mustard seeds in the corners of your home or on your windows and doorways as a protective barrier

𖤓 Say a prayer to protective deities, such as Hekate, Nyx, Hades, Persephone, Lilith, Anubis, Thor, Loki, etc. and ask for their guidance and protection throughout the day (you don’t have to worship/work with the gods to pray to them)

𖤓 Recite an invocation to a deity or goddess who aligns with protective energy or who you feel like protects you and ask them to guard your energy and be with you throughout the day

𖤓 Visualize yourself being protected and guarded by a bright light and energy that cannot be penetrated. Imagine it to be whatever color you feel like protects you and imagine that energy enfolding you entirely. Repeat the words, “I am protected,” “I am safe,” “I am grounded in my energy.” Once you feel like you’re calm and protected, go about your day

𖤓 Carry black crystals, such as obsidian, black tourmaline, onyx, or hematite, or put them on your altar space (bonus points: wear a black crystal bracket or necklace and treat it as your protective amulet)

It’s a time when we need to nurture ourselves and tend to ourselves. Sometimes, it might also mean neglecting certain responsibilities or duties, such as those around the holidays, because we need to honor and cope with our own grief and pain. It’s good to be open and honest about that and to set boundaries when necessary. Demeter refused to tend to her duties until Persephone was returned to her. Although we can’t do that with our own grief when it comes to getting the person we lost back, we can do that when it comes to taking on less, asking for help, and easing your responsibilities until you can recover and heal. today’s astrological forecast is focused on the month of December. the month of December is sidereal Scorpio (up until December 15th) and sidereal Sagittarius season.
