it was actually SUCH a crazy ass move to make anakin become vader at like 23 i mean like. genuinely george lucas didn’t need to do that. yeah the prequels could be about anakin in his youth but they didn’t have to end with him barely out of college lol. like a slightly bigger timeskip so he’s becoming a dad+doom cyborg from hell in his late 20s/early 30s would be totally plausible. but lucas CHOSE to make anakin incredibly young when he loses everything he loves and destroys the rest of the galaxy in his grief. and that makes it so much more amazing actually. the layers of that. anakin skywalker as a character is just a masterpiece. true artwork. chefs kiss
