yo do yk those big magnapinna squids? theyre absolutely awesome but everyone thinks theyre scary, like yes: i would doodoo my pants if i was near one, but theyre pretty cool!
I agree, these guys have a haunting etherealness to them that makes them gorgeous and dread inducing!

Today on CHUNK! FUNK! GUNK! We rate
FUNKY BOYS!!!! These guys are also called Bigfin Squid, but I have heard the term Elbow Squid before as well. I don’t know a lot about them, but they are very 10/10 freaky and funky. As a squid that can shoot ink and is generally slimy, high gunk. They aren’t super chunky but they do have a bit of a squish to them. Low chunk.

-The humpback angler fish has an interesting mating ritual where the male, who is much smaller than the female, will attach itself to the female and fuse to her, giving her a permanent supply of sperm in exchange for nutrients.
-The big fin squid is a somewhat recent discovery. Not much is known since only a few specimens have been observed in nature, but we think that they use those extremely long tendrils to snag prey when they swim by.
-Chimeras are a type of fish related to sharks. The spine at the beginning of their dorsal fin is venomous.
-The colossal squid is considered to be the largest species of squid by mass.

listen, i know this isn't my best work, nor is it horror, but i've been a little busy and just wanted to turn my brain off this time and draw a cute magnapinna >~< they're the deepest-living cephalopods known to science! i considered drawing a snailfish, but i just love magnapinna so much.
