a thing i really like about tuca and bertie is its hypersexual representation, and how differently sexuality is portrayed between the leads.

like, between tuca and bertie. the “vibes” say the hypersexual one should be tuca, the character that has a lot of sex and is ver open about that. but that’s the stereotype. hypersexuality isn’t just having a heightened libido, it’s about disorder.

bertie has sexual compulsions, and so much guilt. her mind turns everything sexual , she finds herself aroused when abused, she finds herself bored with “healthy” dynamics, and she hates herself so much. and that’s. that’s real, ok.

that’s how it feels. and i really like how the dorky girl in a loving relationship is the one shown to be struggling with this, most hypersexual “representation” is just a person with a high libido and not a real representation of this horrible disorder so many go through

Wanna make it clear I don’t really like how Angel is portrayed, I just like what he could’ve been

Hyper sexuality is a real thing people go through and I think it’s important for it to be portrayed right in media ^_^

Hypersexuality does not make you dirty.

Wanting sex, attention, or closeness does not mean you wanted to be harmed. And if you were assaulted while struggling with hypersexuality, that does not make it your fault.

It would have been much better if ribbit talked with ragatha before abstraction, telling her what was jax problem and asking that, even if jax is driving ribbit insane, please help jax because jax is their friend

Ragatha couldnt help any of their friends and cant accept that it wasnt her fault because she grew up like that

And at the scene of jax mind when jax abstracted... Ragatha would have fit much better there, jax saying "you're not supposed to want me, you're not supposed to love me" but ragatha is doing what ribbit said, also she would see how jax reacted to kaufmo abstraction and see how jax was close to talk to ribbit at the end

Even if you tell me "yeah but pomni is the protagonist" THEN MAKE RAGATHA TALK WITH POMNI ABOUT IT, like ragatha not being able to bear everything alone and breaks down talking with pomni, the Pomni tooks the charge of her problems and does it for her friend jax and ragatha

That would have set pomni more as jesus as they tried to show in the first episode last meal and the crucified pomni render

Someone who in your weakness is your strenght, that will love you no matter your wrongs and errors

Also, a few memories of jax & pomni, ragatha & jax being friends would have helped a lot to make a bit of "oh, they were really friends" since... The show barely uses flashbacks, so in that moment they were using them they should have used them MORE AND BETTER

You will be able to still hate Jax, you will understand much more Pomni, you will feel bad for ragatha but had a better ending with past wounds
